Luck vs. Barkley - Game Day Thread

Two NFL scouts tell Yahoo! Sports' Jason Cole that Oklahoma QB Landry Jones and USC QB Matt Barkley are good enough that teams won't be "desperate" enough to meet an inflated asking price for Stanford QB Andrew Luck in a potential trade for the No. 1 overall pick.
"Everybody is trying to get a quarterback, but you don't want to do it at the expense of being able to build the rest of the team," one scout said. "Sometimes you have to make the deal, like what the Giants did with Eli [Manning]. I'm not sure that's the situation here." We're not sold on Jones as an early first-rounder, but SI.com's Peter King opined Tuesday that Barkley will "almost certainly" be a top-10 pick in 2012.

No they can play ( I have no idea if they are in the same division inside the conference though) but they cant play in any bowl games

So we could end up with this match up again than since USC and Stanford are in different division as long as Stanford stays ahead of oregon and USC stays ahead of ASU

Can USC face standford in the pac 12 championship game or is USC not allowed in that game?

I dont get why that is only in the playoffs though

Both teams played excellently, with their quarterbacks failing to disappoint.

USC is going to be a team to watch next year, they've got a lot of talented freshman and sophomores, and I honestly believe Stanford, with QB Robbie Picazo at the helm, will be solid as well.

I get the feeling we just saw the start of a special matchup for years to come.

Glad the defense stepped it up when it really counted. They let USC run off that many points but they ended the game. Nice job by both teams offenses.

Great game. One QB didn't out play the other. From what I saw tonite, Barkley was just as impressive as Luck. Indy and Miami will be getting 2 special players.
