Starting to lean towards Barkley just slightly as of now..

If we trade all our picks for Luck, we can't build around Andrew Luck. It's not like our offense and defense are set and all we need is a quarterback to make a push! We need yet another roster revamp.

Luck, or any quarterback we draft, will fail if we don't improve our offense and defense through the draft and free agency.

I'm still sticking to my stance that Andrew Luck will be the next Ryan Leaf, and I won't be changing my opinion until he proves me wrong. Never liked how some players who think so highly of themselves that they actually threaten NFL teams that they will not play for them (John Elway, Eli Manning). I like Elway the player, but not Elway the person. That's a different topic for a different thread

I'd much rather grab Nick Foles, or Landry Jones as a second option. Not a fan of Luck or Barkley.
    100%. Preach it.

He hit two pretty spot on pocket passes to win in Miami...

Too early to rule him out

Griffin is a pocket passer with the ability to run. He has better accuracy then Barkley and Jones and a stronger arm.

Its not that I don't think qb isn't important.

It is, when you get a solid foundation set for them. Which we are far from.

You are setting them up to fail on our team.

I can see not a lot of thought went here.
For every one you named you can name 2-3.
Clausen Quinn lineheart vy Russell pennington vick(falcons) akili smith mcnown couch leaf Andre ware

and the list goes on and on and on and on

common theme for them is thinking that qb could save them alone...

If Peyton comes back healthy Indy will likely trade the #1 pick. How odd would it be that the first time we got our HOF QB it was in a trade with the Colts, and then the 2nd time we get a new HOF QB it will be in a trade with the Colts. The only thing that would make it weirder is if Luck said he will not play for Indy and Indy trades him to us and gets an OT in the process. lol

I'm really hoping Tebow succeeds, but it's not looking good. If we are picking in the top 5, we have to sell the farm to get Andrew Luck, nothing else will suffice!

You're right, it makes more sense to wait until the 6th round and hope we find Tom Brady.

The quarterback position is the most important individual position on the team. IF it appears that we do not have a quarterback we want to commit to when the draft rolls around, we absolutely should address the need with the best player we can get; after that we can start surrounding them with talent. But it's easier to upgrade one position to make the team look better (and QB is the only position that will immediately do so), than to upgrade the entire team.

Behind this teams teams 'talent', any qb draft will bust.

If we do get a chance to take Luck, free agents will want to come to Denver again...
