  • BroncosTX77 Midseason NFL Mock

Do with it as you please. Draft spots are based off current NFL.com standings. I believe EFX has no confidence in Tebow even if he does well. My next mock will be at end of Broncos season.

Things you will notice. Colts take OT instead of QB, they want Luck if they can't get him, they need OL just as bad. Texans taking OLB when they have Super Mario....his contract is up and coming off torn pectoral and well Doom has not lit it up after coming off his torn pec.

    1. Miami Dolphins – QB Andrew Luck Stanford
    2. Indianapolis Colts – OT Matt Kalil USC
    3. St. Louis Rams – WR Justin Blackmon OSU
    4. Arizona Cardinals - OT Jonathan Martin Stanford
    5. Minnesota Vikings – DE Quinton Coples UNC
    6. Jacksonville Jaguars – WR Alshon Jeffery South Carolina
    7. Carolina Panthers – CB Morris Claiborne LSU
    8. Seattle Seahawks – QB Matt Barkley USC
    9. Denver Broncos – QB Robert Griffin III Baylor
    10. Washington Redskins – QB Landry Jones OU
    11. Philadelphia Eagles – LB Vontaze Burflict ASU
    12. Dallas Cowboys – CB Dre Kirkpatrick Alabama
    13. Cleveland Browns – LB Zach Brown UNC
    14. Tennessee Titans – OC Peter Konz Wisconsin
    15. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – CB Alfonzo Dennard Nebraska
    16. San Diego Chargers – OLB Courtney Upshaw Alabama
    17. Cincinnati Bengals (via OAK) – OG David DeCastro Stanford
    18. New York Jets – WR Michael Floyd Notre Dame
    19. Kansas City Chiefs – NT Alameda Ta’amu Washington
    20. Chicago Bears – OT Riley Reiff Iowa

My honest opinion - we should not draft a qb.

The chances of them working out is under 30% and we have way more needs. Offensive line is the safest and we have a need for it.
Add that to a draft class litered with oline talent and I think we go that direction.

Id say when it's all said and done Denver will be picking higher than 9th.

would you trade picks with the cowboys for romo and an additional draft pick or muarry(doubt they part with him).?

In my opinion that gives denver a decent starter for QB they still have a first and the option to pick up a QB in the later rounds maybe foles or tannehil.

Just throwing the idea out there.

Not bad. I'm a huge fan of RGIII, so I would be happy with this.

I think EFX would want more of a pocket passing accurate QB. Doubt they'd go for Griffin.

75% not accurate enough for you??

hahahahah are you kidding? Griffin is as accurate as it gets, and is as pure of a pocket passer as it gets. watch him play for Christ's sake

                      Matt Barkley - 204 of 303 67.33% 11.23 ypc 22 TD 5 INT
                      Robert Griffin III - 175 of 232 75.43% 13.57 ypc 23 TD 4 INT
                      Andrew Luck - 174 of 242 71.90% 12.75 ypc 25 TD 5 INT
                      Landry Jones - 236 of 355 66.48% 13.11 ypc 26 TD 9 INT

If the kid can make all the NFL throws, has the necessary footwork and delivery, and each year positively progressed in the passing game, there is no reason EFX would not take a look at him and then draft him. Given the success of Cam Newton with 1 year at Auburn, RGIII has been doing this for 3 years and been becoming more comfortable as a passer to where has the best completion % and Yards per completion than the other 3 big names.

                        4. Arizona Cardinals - OT Jonathan Martin Stanford
                        5. Minnesota Vikings – DE Quinton Coples UNC Brian Robison has stepped up, I would switch this pick with the Jags.
                        6. Jacksonville Jaguars – WR Alshon Jeffery South Carolina switch with Vikes
                        7. Carolina Panthers – CB Morris Claiborne LSU I could see them trading down in this scenario.
                        8. Seattle Seahawks – QB Matt Barkley USC
                        9. Denver Broncos – QB Robert Griffin III Baylor I doubt he comes out in the draft, but I would like the pick if Tebow doesn't improve.
                        10. Washington Redskins – QB Landry Jones OU Doesn't strike me as a Shanny QB. I think Burflict is the pick in this scenario, or a trade up for Barkley.
                        11. Philadelphia Eagles – LB Vontaze Burflict ASU Doesn't quite fit their scheme. fits the need though
                        12. Dallas Cowboys – CB Dre Kirkpatrick Alabama
                        13. Cleveland Browns – LB Zach Brown UNC Too high for him.
                        14. Tennessee Titans – OC Peter Konz Wisconsin Too high for a center.
                        15. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – CB Alfonzo Dennard Nebraska
                        16. San Diego Chargers – OLB Courtney Upshaw Alabama Too high for him, but I would love this pick for SD. Another bust for them.
                        17. Cincinnati Bengals (via OAK) – OG David DeCastro Stanford Too high.
                        18. New York Jets – WR Michael Floyd Notre Dame Too high.
                        19. Kansas City Chiefs – NT Alameda Ta’amu Washington
                        20. Chicago Bears – OT Riley Reiff Iowa Too low for him.
                        21. Cleveland Browns (via ATL) – OG Cordy Glenn UGA
                        22. New England Patriots (via NO) – DL Jared Crick Nebraska Too high for him
                        23. Houston Texans – OLB Brandon Jenkins Florida State
                        24. New York Giants – RB Trent Richardson Alabama I say he goes about 5 picks earlier.
                        25. New England Patriots – FS TJ McDonald USC
                        26. Cincinnati Bengals - CB Janoris Jenkins North Alabama
                        27. Buffalo Bills – LB Manti Te'o Notre Dame
                        28. Baltimore Ravens – OT Mike Adams OSU Too high for him.
                        29. Detroit Lions – CB Chase Minnifield Virginia Too high.
                        30. San Francisco 49ers- CB Stephon Gilmore South Carolina Too low.
                        31. Pittsburgh Steelers – DL Kendall Reyes Connecticut Too high.
                        32. Green Bay Packers – DE Billy Winn Boise State Too high.
Now a lot of these I simply put too high and too low, and I know alot of this could change... but character issues don't. Besides Burflict nobody with character issues should go ahead of Janoris Jenkins. (Michael Floyd). I'm sure prospects will fall and some will rise, but no Luke Kueckly in your first round?

RG3 is a pocket passer who has the ability to run

He just happens to run like a beast

I said it in another thread, when it comes to Vick comparisons he is more like the Vick of now than the Vick of old

I'll be honest, i haven't seen much of RG3, but if Tebow continues to struggle, i'd have no problem with it. I have heard he may go back to school though.

Truth be told, we're going nowhere until we get a QB.

I'd like the other two picks.

Have you watched the kid play? He's as accurate as it gets.
