Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

This.. Penetration was the use for Stilll. Bunkley has six career sacks.
A penetrating NT and a good #2Cb is all this defense needs to be a top 5 unit. Then we let Chris Harris and Sydquan battle it out for the Nickle spot and we are golden.
I like your mock, but I dont see us going with Trent in the first. If we play our way into the high teens, I think we take DeCastro, if we end up low teens, then Claiborne or Kirpatrick.

If we can't get Trent, I think it has to be one of the top 2 CB's. If not I don't think we reach for a CB; I think we'll trade back into the first and make sure we get Still because DT is that needed, take Lamar Miller in the 2nd, another Miami runningback I know, but it's been working out well for us, and he reminds me of DeAngelo Williams in his prime performing years. Then, WR Kendall Wright with the other 3rd, who is a talent at WR and would be a beast in the slot and, take Brandon Weeden in the 4th, and take SS Tavon Wilson from Illinois with the 5th that was Weeden's pick, Wilson will push Carter, provide depth since Dawkins will go, and be a special teams player.
I don't like the Nnamdi/Dre comparison too much. I think Dre is more likely to be Charles Woodson like than Nnamdi like, given he isn't great in coverage, but he can improve. I don't think he can improve enough to be like Nnamdi, but he can improve enough to be like Charles in coverage, and still use his physical ability and physicality to be effective close to the trenches.
Dre is not a playmaker...
And Nnamdi took time to develop.

Here is my attempt. I could not open the draft ranking, I am at work on a secure network, so I consolidated other posters names into my list. Here it is:
#15- Vontaze Burfict MLB- He is a mean MLB who has similar playing styles to Ray Lewis. Along with Doom and Miller, our front 7 wouls strike fear into the opponent.
#47- Peter Konz OC- Walton is inconsistant to often. I would prefer Konz and have Walton as a back-up.
#79- Andrew Datko OT- Lets face it...Franklin needs to move to LG and have Beadles be back-up LG/RT. This one draft pick sures up 2 positions.
#111- Brandon Boykin CB- Our secondary is playing better, but we still need to add youth and depth to this unit.
#132- Kawan Short DT- Same as our secondary. Youth and depth.
#143- Chris Rainey RB- We need explosive players. That is one thing we lack. Rainey can take it to the house on any givin play. He could be our Sproles.
Whats up with Kawaan Short going so late? if you watch him at all he is a 2nd round pick at worst. He dominates on a defense where he is the only player the offense has to keep under control, and they can't do it. I usually trust Draftniks opinion on a player, but here he is straight up wrong. he has been disruptive all year. He has more TFL (13) than Worthy (4), Thompson (4), Reyes (10) and other DT's ranked above him. The only DT that is more disruptive than Short is Devon Still (14). Oh and his 3.5 sacks before the Ohio State game would still give him more than Thompson and Worthy (2.5 each) have all season. Short, Still, and Cox are the premier DT's in the class, and just cause the professionals say that guys like Worthy and Thompson are better does not make it true at all.
1- OT Jonathan Martin
2- CB Chase Minnifield
3- DT Jerel Worthy
4- TE Michael Egnew
5- WR Ryan Broyles
5- SS/OLB Kenny Tate
6- FB Cody Johnson
7- DE Frank Alexander
Rule 2 The NFL site has us currently ranked 15th so your picks have to come with or after the 15th pick of the respective round
Rule 3 You must try and build your draft with the BPA that fills a need
Rule 4 NO TRADES
Rule 5 We get a 5th for Lloyd but it comes after our pick
Rule 6 Because I dont remember what picks we traded away we will play as if we have all of them still
Here is mine
1) Michael Floyd WR
2) chase minifield CB
3) Jerel Worthy DT
4) Rickey Wagoner OT
5) Dan Herron RB
5) Senio Kelemete OG
6) Marcus Folston DT
7) Cody Johnson FB
The Broncos are going to select a QB in the upcoming draft. And if they are going to take a Offensive guy in the first round, it will be Trent Richardson. Hey Matt Millen is that you.

Michael Floyd makes a lot of sense... our recievers are awful and running backs can be found later. Not to mention Richardson, all the "franchise" QB's and the corner back duo may very well be gone by the time we pick. That leaves us with Floyd, Still, Short, and maybe Dennard as our possible picks. Sorry to break it to ya, but if we take a QB it will be either in the 1st round because we collapse and pick in the top 10, or it will be Chandler Harnish to back up Tebow, because as long as he continues to win the fans will hold EFX hostage, as well they should.
after watching the broncos absolutely take themselves out of the luck sweepstakes which im 100% happy about, i noticed positions that needed to be filled
1.) Dre Kirkpatrick, pick would be Morris Claiborne but he probably would have been taken by the time we pick
2.) Lamar Miller, we are implementing a run HEAVY offense with tebow at helm and willis there...great 1,2 punch
4.) Xavier Rhodes- a big physical corner that isnt going to pull a cromartie or revis, big enough to transition to safety if needed, but i doubt it, i have confidence in moore an carter
3.)Dontari Poe- massive DT that brodrick can rotate with
5.) jermaine kearse- wr depth and hopeful stud
5.) cody johnson- a true fb that will lead block alot better than larsen has
i didn't really put much time into this as i am playing MW3, so i might have missed picks we had or added some...who knows?..not me.
