Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

I know, but our D is playing very well and doesnt seem to be a HUGE need either. I just think we should keep our options open, especially since DT is injury prone and lacking in the statistical department as well.
Our D is playing well, but we still need an upgrade at CB opposite Champ whether that's someone in free agency like Terrell Thomas or Finnegan, and/or drafting someone like Claiborne or Kirkpatrick.
And as i said, it's too early to write off DT, it's amazing he's back on the field. Give him next year, and if he's still bad, sure.

CB is a bigger need over WR imo.
I absolutely agree

No, we do not need to draft a WR in the 1st rd. We need a QB. And until Fox and/or McCoy unleash Tebow, and Tebow shows that he can make the good throws CONSISTANTLY. I'm going to beat this QB drum load and proud.
People was saying that we needed to bring DT back slowly, now we're doing that and people want to replace him. DT has caught most of his passes, he's going to be fine. Let's not forget how long he was out. He's still in the process of getting into game shape and trusting his achilles.
Personally, i'm expecting to see more of DT in the next game or 2.
Yep, hard for our WR's to get into any rhythm when they only threw it 8 times yesterday. Gotta take the hand-cuffs off him.
I hope so too, need to open it up if we have any shot of beating the Jets this week.
Draft a DT. You win games in the trenches and this is a perfect time for us to get one. Right now he have stopgaps at DT thats fine for right now but if you really want to win and be a team of the future we have to build through the draft. We haven't drafted a DT in the first for so long and we can't keep neglecting it.
I'll say this much. If yesterday was a sneak peak of the future of this offense (along with 12 more passing attempts) Trent Richardson is looking very promising for us.
If we go skill player I would assume it would be QB, RB, or CB. If the FO wants to stick with Tebow than that rules out QB. I personally think RB especially if Trent Richardson is available when we pick. We are due our 1st round RB that Moreno was supposed to be. Especially if we are going to keep up the one-dimensial rushing attack. Can't have too many RBs in that case but will be hard pressed to find any half decent WRs that will want or be willing to play in such an offense. I get the feeling we will end up way overpaying for mediocre veteran WRs just looking for some final paychecks as their careers wind down.

Drafting a WR in the first round is pointless for obvious reasons.
agreed..why waste the pick/money on a guy who will have no impact on the offense? tebow wont be able to get them the ball, might as well draft a rb or defense

Because if the playaction bombs on Sunday were thrown to Blackmon they would have been caught. The first one to Decker and the throw to Eddie both would have been huge gains.
A deep threat would make it much harder for defenses to stack the box against us. The more playmakers the better. We arent going to throw 8 times every game, we need other guys that cant make plays and catch consistently **cough cough eddie**.
Facing reality, we have a need for a pass-blocking RT. The coaches seem unwilling to switch Beadles and Franklin, and so a skilled pass-blocking RT appears to be a must in the draft. The good RTs are available in the 1st and 2nd rounds, anything lower than that tends to be a project.
We do have a problem in run support at RCB, but with the way Chris Harris is playing I don't see why he can't take over that spot and Goodman can play in nickel situations.
Then we may lose some players in free agency, chief among them Wesley Woodyard, Joe Mays, Marcus Thomas, Eddie Royal, Kyle Orton and Brady Quinn. We have players to fill Mays' spot and possibly Royal's, but not Woodyard or Thomas. That means DT, backup WLB and backup QBs are draft necessities.

That's five draft picks right there. We can use our one extra pick to please the home crowd by picking Paul Ernster's cousin, Otis Ernster, a long snapper.
If Tebow throws several times in a game , then you guys say we are setting him up to fail. If we do play to what he can do then you guys say we need to take off the handcuffs....fact is, we can only mask his shortfalls for so long....we are drafting a qb ...it is our biggest need...
