  • If we make the playoffs

Virginia Tech running back David Wilson shows amazing balance and power in this first down run in the third quarter against Miami.

Hopefully he is our second round pick. He is the 2nd best back in the draft. I like him a lot.

    Richardson
    Wilson
    Miller
    Ball

I really want Trent Richarson in the first, but if he's picked before we're on the clock then I'd be ok with Wilson in the 2nd. I think Montee Ball would be a better fit for our pounding style run game, but I think he'll sneak into the late 1st or very early 2nd. After those two guys I have Wilson and Lamar Miller rated about the same for 2nd round RBs.

Greg childs: the steal of our 2012 draft

Halfway through last season ppl wouldve had him as a first rounder in 2012. He had an injury that he hasnt bounced back from and we can likely land this beast in the 4th round. At 6'3 220 he has good speed great hands and can block. Id think we will be picking 32nd. Id love to go cb, ot, spread qb, then childs. I love our dline, we already have fannin waiting to burst on the scene. Id draft him and id get djax for returns and use him in 4 wide situations

Childs would have at best been a second round pick last year.

This year he hasn't got the ball as much as he did when Mallet was there and his stock has dropped a ton. I am proud fanatic, you actually found a guy who is a legit steal and could even be there in the 5th round.

Lol im glad i made u proud. Seriously though i watched him closely last yr against geogia and south carolina i think and i was blown away. He looked like he has serious game speed and strong hands, and im sure he'll have no problem blocking downfield

Draft if we make playoffs vs if we dont ...

In my opinion if we make the playoffs this year I believe we should go straight defense in next years draft. Starting with a stud corner. Now if we don't make the playoffs I believe we trade up for RGIII or Barkley. John Elway doesn't believe in Tebow, and honestly I don't either. However I love winning, and if we make the playoffs I can't see any way Elway can convince Fox or Xanders to draft a quarterback. We are winning games by running and playing great defense. The passing game is not really in our gameplan so I see no need in drafting a Wr. McGahee can be our number one for another year in my opinion so go out and draft pure defense. Worry about offense the next draft. Now if we fail to make the playoffs I can see Elway trading Tebow. Drafting Barkley/RGIII alot with a wide receiver. The draft heavily weighs on how we finish. IMO

                  I don't think it makes a difference.

                  1st - Corner
                  2nd - O/D Line
                  3rd - Offensive Weapon

I think if we can resign the main cogs in DT rotation we'll be in a position make a healthy list of needs, ranging from TE, WR, RB, QB, DT, CB, and OT. Some of those are needs for depth, but at least 3 of them have a need for consistent contributions, especially RB and DT.

Back to what I was trying to say. We should be in position to just sit where we are and take the BPA, unless we see a special player, such as Trent Richardson, fall a few spots then we could possibly trade up. However, I still prefer the idea of sitting at #15, or wherever it is, and taking the BPA.

Don't think it changes that much...

We won't be in position for Luck, Barkley, Jones, or RG3.

And i'd rather keep our picks, and adding playmakers to both sides of the ball instead of trade them for a QB.

                      If it was me...

                      I'd go.

                      1st- CB or BPA
                      2nd- DL
                      3rd- WR

                        Denver needs Vince Young as

a backup in case Tebow goes down to injury! He is hugh, strong armed and I believe he ran an option offense in college at Texas. I think he could step right in and help if and when Tebow goes down.

I've been saying that to my friends for a while now. Vince absolutely ran the same zone-read option offense as Tebow when at Texas. IMO, he's a better runner - maybe not as determined and bullish, but definitely faster, more elusive - than Tebow. In his years with Tennessee and Philly, he has developed into more of a pocket passer, but the defense still has to account for him as a runner, same as Tebow.

He's big and strong - something that will be necessary to run this offense and take the abuse.

That said, if he keeps having 400 yard days passing like he did yesterday (with DeSean Jackson dropping 2 TD passes), he's not going to sign on to be a back-up; somebody will give him a chance to be the starter.

It would be nice, but VY is not really established as a backup yet. This year was a special case, and he was paid quite a bit ($6 million I believe). I think this is an audition for another starting gig.

What Jay3 said. He is going to earn a starting job somewhere, he looks better than Kolb ever did, and has higher upside.
