i like our gore, i would just want some one to move around can play slot, or RB a percey harvin type slot, a guy like TY Hilton whos speed will make him one of the most dangerous players in the nfl. the question is how far will he rise if he runs in the 4.2s, he is more then likely a third or fourth if he runs in the 4.3s which is his expected speed.

If we pay him it might sway him.
But I doubt really any WR is gonna have interest in coming here.
There's a great chance that we're his favorite team, so if we throw 8-9 mil a year at him to come HOME and play for a winning team that's on the rise, than I don't see why he wouldn't come.
Who's really a contender to us? He probably hates AJ Smith, and the Chargers losing solidifies his reasons for leaving, so who else is out there?Fightin' Texas Aggie c/o '16

That would be an awful waste for this football team. Not smart spending at all
How about the fact that Lloyd gave more effort running screen passes than blocking? Or that he was clearly unhappy with his situation?
And don't bring up the 28 year old remark, because that's when most receivers are hitting their peak. The "second contract" is where most players perform highest (given they aren't worthless like Haynesworth).Fightin' Texas Aggie c/o '16

8-9 Million for a receiver who will probably have 50 catches if he is lucky is not worth the investment at all.

Don't disagree witht hat but he wanted big money and he knew he would hurt his pocket if he stayed in Denver to play with Tebow because he wouldn't get as many catches or targets.
He will be 29 with us. That is a lot longer than most guys get there second contracts. Especially now when guys are off contract and unrestricted after just 4 years you will be able to get 26 year old guys.

Come on now, wouldn't a trio of DT, Decker, and V. Jackson look fantastic out there on the field?sigpic

If we stole him from SD than our receivers would be VJ and DT on the outside and Decker in the slot. Sounds great to me.

On one hand: A cheap explosive slot receiver in the draft. Rounds 2-5.
On the other hand: 8-10 million dollar receiver who will never produce enough to make up for the cost of him.
I would love V Jax on the team. But his value is decreased playing for us and the money makes no sense to me. And our unwillingness to pay star big time receivers shows that it will likely not happen. Hopefully I am right. I would rather spend 8-10 million on a two very good defensive players who could start on this football team.

I would love to take that 10 million per year and spend it on some top defensive free agents and then just draft a guy like Kendall Wright to be our slot receiver.
