i like our gore, i would just want some one to move around can play slot, or RB a percey harvin type slot, a guy like TY Hilton whos speed will make him one of the most dangerous players in the nfl. the question is how far will he rise if he runs in the 4.2s, he is more then likely a third or fourth if he runs in the 4.3s which is his expected speed.

No he isn't. He's handled his situation of being paid under 1 Million dollars in each of the last three years beautifully, compared to most, and he's STILL one of the most lethal receivers in the game while Rivers is sucking. If we stole him from SD than our receivers would be VJ and DT on the outside and Decker in the slot. Sounds great to me.

I'd love it, he's perfect for Tebow IMO. Great deep ball threat who can make tough catches on poorly thrown balls. That being said, I'm not sure if he'd want to come here, considering how little we throw the ball.

He's the one we'd have the best shot at, he was born and raised in CO.

If we pay him it might sway him.

But I doubt really any WR is gonna have interest in coming here.

I've listened to his interviews lately, and I guarantee anybody that losing bugs VJ more than money, yards, or touchdowns.

There's a great chance that we're his favorite team, so if we throw 8-9 mil a year at him to come HOME and play for a winning team that's on the rise, than I don't see why he wouldn't come.

Who's really a contender to us? He probably hates AJ Smith, and the Chargers losing solidifies his reasons for leaving, so who else is out there?

He wont be back with San Diego IMO but why would WE give him 8-9 million. We have shown we will not pay receivers like B Marsh and Lloyd in a passing offense. But now with a run offense we will pay a 28 year old almost 10 million per year. That would be an awful waste for this football team. Not smart spending at all

Because our current FO totally traded Brandon Marshall. Right.

How about the fact that Lloyd gave more effort running screen passes than blocking? Or that he was clearly unhappy with his situation?

And don't bring up the 28 year old remark, because that's when most receivers are hitting their peak. The "second contract" is where most players perform highest (given they aren't worthless like Haynesworth).

Who writes the checks. Pat Bowlen. Is he still here. We have shown unwillingness to commit to receivers. Why would we do it now with a run first and run heavy game.

Don't disagree witht hat but he wanted big money and he knew he would hurt his pocket if he stayed in Denver to play with Tebow because he wouldn't get as many catches or targets.

He will be 29 with us. That is a lot longer than most guys get there second contracts. Especially now when guys are off contract and unrestricted after just 4 years you will be able to get 26 year old guys.

8-9 Million for a receiver who will probably have 50 catches if he is lucky is not worth the investment at all.

You said in the other thread that you wanted an explosive speedy, home run threat at WR yet V. Jackson isn't good enough for that? He may be expensive but he is worth it too. He is averaging 17+ yards/catch for his career and 18+ this season. If he isn't explosive, I don't know what is.

Come on now, wouldn't a trio of DT, Decker, and V. Jackson look fantastic out there on the field?

watch the san diego vs oakland game and watch Jackson not bother putting effort into the game winning catch. I would take Decker or Thomas diving for the ball any day then that diva WR for an opposing team you seem to love.

                          What's the difference?

Mike Wallace and V. jackson have very similar stats and abilities.

Yes. The hypocrisy is there isn't it.

On one hand: A cheap explosive slot receiver in the draft. Rounds 2-5.
On the other hand: 8-10 million dollar receiver who will never produce enough to make up for the cost of him.

I would love V Jax on the team. But his value is decreased playing for us and the money makes no sense to me. And our unwillingness to pay star big time receivers shows that it will likely not happen. Hopefully I am right. I would rather spend 8-10 million on a two very good defensive players who could start on this football team.

Come on now, wouldn't a trio of DT, Decker, and V. Jackson look fantastic out there on the field?
Not for the cost of V Jax and the decrease of value he would have on this team.

I would love to take that 10 million per year and spend it on some top defensive free agents and then just draft a guy like Kendall Wright to be our slot receiver.

Mike Wallace can turn a 10 yard catch into a 40 yard touchdown. Vincent Jackson can't.

Exactly. A guy who can help Tebow develop. A check down option and a guy who you can get the ball too and he is a threat to take it the distance. Jackson is not that. Like the guys you mentioned. And also if Kendall Wright who I want as that guy was here he is a very good deep threat as well.

When do you see Jackson get a little 5 yard pass and take it to the house.
