  • Tebow's Value?

Heard the talking heads on ESPN yesterday, talking about a TT trade, since he is winning and leading the team as well as developing as an "NFL" QB, do you think other teams are gaining interest in him?

The more we win, and I feel the division title is within reach, what would his tade value be in terms of draft choices?

Personally with what I have seen I would hope Elway has seen enough to be a believer and willing to build the team with TT as our QB.

Also watched the playoff game between Northern Iowa and MT. last night. Dan Moore a 235 lb RB looked good for a FA pick next year. (provided he is a senior)

i saw some of that too. I recall Northern Iowa being demolished and their quarterback isn't worth a damn

I know they could get Jacksonville's first round pick for Tebow. Did you see that Monday Night Game last week? More seats than fans. He would pack that stadium from day one. I don't want to lose him because I like him, but his worth, especially in Jacksonville, is very high.

Doubtful they'd give up on Gabbert after one season, even if they'll have a new head coach, but the Jaguars did have a chance to draft Tebow in 2010. They passed on him, so I doubt they'd want him now. Even if he fills seats.

I think it's funny that this even remains a question.

            Tim Tebow is going NOWHERE.

He is a Superstasr, the Face of the Franchise as a great character guy, and oh-by-the-way, he's a great football player.

Tim Tebow is just unique, and for all the things people say he can't do, he has a bunch of qualities that say he can, and he flat out knows how to win games.

He is finishing year two of a five year rookie contract, and he will start at a minimum of the next two seasons, period.

The fans would absolutely revolt, and Elway would put himself in a PR nightmare...if Elway cut or traded Tebow and Tebow succeeds elsewhere, Elway looks like a moron...not to mention the pressure that would be brought to bear on Tebow's successor, presumably an Elway draft pick.

...and who are we talking about here?

            Ryan Tannehill?

            Nick Foles?

            Brandon Weeden??

...and that's the thing, Elway is not stupid, and he knows this 'Tebow Thing' has to play itself out on the field as the Broncos starting QB.

So his trade value is irrelevant, because he is NOT going to be traded, won't happen.

Better to draft Kellen Moore to be the backup, IMO, and go all in with Tebow.

I'd have to agree with that. Besides that point, there's the fact that we'll be picking in the last half of the 1st round. Luck and RG3 will be gone in the first 3 picks. Are we gonna ditch Tim for Barkley or Jones? I don't think so.

Not to mention the fact that Gabbert is not as bad as some think, and as he develops, he is going to be a player.

He has quiet feet, and sees the field pretty well, and he is athletic enough to move around. Has good mechanics and can throw the ball with good velocity and accuracy. Not to mention he is very smart.

The next coach the Jaguars hire is critical...I keep hearing Mike Martz, and that would be interesting, as I think Martz would be great for Gabbert, and I think he would see a young QB with potential.

I like Gabbert and think he is going to be alot better in a year or two, and will be just fine.

...not to mention the fact that the Jaguars already passed on Tebow once.

When you take a step back Elway is in a no lose situation if he just has patience.

Let Tebow Time run its course to glory (hopefully) or failure. No one will blame Elway if after 2 or 3 years of Tebow it doesn't work out. Especially if he builds a dominant defense in the mean time.

There is no rush Elway, play Tebow! He's got a huge upside and if he tanks no one will blame you, you are in a no lose situation.

UNLESS you can the guy early and things go bad for you and Tebow succeeds elsewhere.

Exactly, and in the meantime, the Broncos are a HUGE draw...can you imagine how many Prime Time games they will have next season?

                    I'm guessing a bunch.

The other thing is, the players know who is legit, and if the players around the league believe, that means the Broncos become a team of destination in free agency.

You said the right word, patience, and I think John Elway is certainly smart enough to know that.

That is why I think Kellen Moore is perfect. He would be welcomed by Bronco fans in general, while not being perceived as a threat to Tebow, and he would keep the left-handed continuity of the offense.

The only problem with Kellen is he would never be able to sell the run/option. He's 190 pounds and runs about a 5.0 40.

I don't know that matters too much though. Every play book changes when a back up comes in.

...and oh by the way, I would draft the Riley kid from BYU the following year as well...go all in with young, left-handed, athletic QB's..

You would just adapt the offense to his strengths...obviously, you would be able to throw the ball alot more with Moore, and you could do it out of the same basic offense as Tebow would run.

I think Moore throws the ball extremely well. He is extremely accurate, and it's not like Boise St doesn't throw it down the field early and often, and Moore seems to make the throws.

I said it before, I would draft Moore and sign Mark Brunnel to be the backup for a year to mentor them, but if an injury happened to Tebow, I would play Kellen Moore as the backup.

How about we keep him, and build around him, yeah, i know, crazy logic, besides, who can we get that is a big upgrade without trading up for one of the top 4 QB's.

Luck, RG3, Jones, and Barkley will be all gone, so do we take 2nd tier QB's like Tannehill, Foles, or the kid from SDSU, no, that's a waste of a pick.

And Tebow makes peanuts contract-wise, and if we keep him, we'll get a TON of primetime games next year, probably 3-5 maybe more, Tebow draws big ratings to the league.

Keep him, and don't trade him.

the talking heads on ESPN were also adamant about Tebow not being able to throw the ball in the NFL, then being a stater at Qb, then winning two game...you get where I'm going. It's all about being watched not being accurate...Some times I wish we could see the batting average of the analyst when they talk: Merhill Hoge (86/320 predictions) says He's never gonne succeed! Now we could have more fun when watching....
