Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

That's my exact thinking in terms of the positions to address in the draft. It will probably change with what we do in free agency, and of course if we re-sign Bunkley (I don't see how there is any way we don't at this point). It'd be ideal to pick up another 3rd rounder in my opinion which we could use to just draft a fast WR or one that falls due to whatever reason.
If we could add a Tracy Porter or Terrell Thomas in free agency, CB wouldn't be as big of a need. Same with WR if we add one via free agency.
As for Bunk, he better get re-signed, he's been amazing for us. I'd be ok with trading down for more picks too in the 1st or 2nd.
Kendall Wright is intriguing to me, a trio of Thomas, Decker, and Wright would be pretty sick.
Biggest impact available is also more valid than your guys' idea of picking what position you're drafting before you know who's available.
The guys who would make the biggest impact for us right now are a receiving tight end, playmaking safeties, stud interior pass rusher, work horse runningback, and a playmaking corner.
To me Cox will be the best available talent at our pick if he is even there. And he will be filling our biggest need which is interior pass rush.
Now I would not be mad if we drafted Dwayne Allen, Mark Barron, Devon Still, Brandon Thompson, Jerel Powe, Alphonzo Dennard, Janoris Jenkins, Montee Ball, or Lamar Miller. All would be instant starters and would make a huge impact on this team. And yes I count the second string runningback as a starter in our offense.

I really hope Cox is available at our pick. I could see him going very early, but even Nick Fairley slipped a little, so hopefully the same happens to Cox. I would even endorse trading up for him if we need to.

okay, so instead of going into it saying "we're taking a damn defensive tackle with this pick no matter what", I'm saying, "who's the best player out of these guys based on who's available will be our pick".
Play 1 12:47;
Lines up at right 5 tech. Gets the best burst I have seen him get all night off the ball, but is negated by a quick pass.
Play 2 12:17;
Lines up at left 3 tech. Is doubled, gets no pressure on play.
Play 3 11:43;
Lines up at left 2 tech. Works down line. Quick pass. No effect on play.
Play 4 11:41;
Lines up at left 5 tech. Gets great burst off the ball and beats the tackle. Cox draws an obvious holding penalty that is called this time on left tackle.
Play 5 11:15;
Lines up at left 3 tech rushes up field, spins and gets no pressure on QB. Tripple teamed on play.
Play 6 10:44;
Lines up as an inside linebacker. Blitzes and gets no push on QB sneak.
Play 7 10:23;
Lines up at left 5 tech. Goes unblocked to start off. Tight end picks him up and Cox forces quick pass by QB.
Play 8 10:10;
Lines up at left 5 tech. Slow off the ball. Shows great burst after he realizes ball has been snapped. Quick pass.
Play 9 9:55;
Lines up at right 5 tech. Rushes up field leaves a huge hole for runnningback.
Play 10 9:23;
Lines up at right 3 tech. Does good job to keep cut block off him then takes a good angle to clean up the tackle.
Play 11 8:52;
Lines up at left 5 tech. Is Doubled but still provides a nice outside rush. Spin move has no effect.
Play 12 8:47;
Lines up at left 5 tech. Fights off a double team and stays at line. Keeps contain on QB trying to make a play.
Play 13 8:37;
Not on field.
Play 14 8:28;
Lines up at left 5 tech. Stunts inside and collapses pocket. Forces quick incomplete pass on 4th and 10.

BTW, jerel powe...what?
Jerel Worthy. I meant Worthy. :thumb:
My rant wasn't exactly based at you, just at the people who are saying we need to take BPA regardless of position. We don't.
BPA at a position of need. BIA. Biggest impact available.

I think Cox is better than Fairley, but I'm hoping his lack of elite production will drop him. Along with the other things.
But the reason he hasn't had elite production has entirely to do with the scheme he plays in. Miss St's 3-4 does not suit his talents at all.

Ballard had a great game. Anyone else want to jump on his bandwagon now that they have seen what he can do? I'm not saying he would be a star but he is great value for his current draft projection.

Right now there are 4 runners in this draft that I would think would be great additions to our team if Richardson does stay in school.
Montee Ball, touchdown machine. Great burst and lateral agility. Well rounded.
Lamar Miller, elite speed. Adds a home run threat to the offense.
Terrance Ganaway, huge and fast. Steven Jackson clone. Going to be a great pro.
Chris Ballard, solid yet unspectacular. Going to be a good runner. Probably will never be an elite runner. But Ballard is a guy who will consistently have 250 carries 1000 yard seasons.
