But if I was to expand the list, Doug Martin and Polk would be the next two guys up.

And i dunno if he would fall to our pick.

Montee Ball, touchdown machine. Great burst and lateral agility. Well rounded.
Lamar Miller, elite speed. Adds a home run threat to the offense.
Terrance Ganaway, huge and fast. Steven Jackson clone. Going to be a great pro.
Chris Ballard, solid yet unspectacular. Going to be a good runner. Probably will never be an elite runner. But Ballard is a guy who will consistently have 250 carries 1000 yard seasons.

Drafting Jones would kill me. He's Blaine Gabbert 2.0. He plays in a friendly system with a lot of great talent in a very weak defensive division. He has little pocket presence and is the opposite of clutch.
The two backs that the Broncos should look at should be Doug Martin and Chris Polk. Doug Martin is just a guy who can do it all, he is a tough runner, has good vision, has breakaway speed, soft hands, and he blocks well, he's built like a tank and is a runner in the mold of Ray Rice/MJD. The other guy would be Chris Polk who's just a tough runner inside the tackles, and has good agility/quickness if not breakaway speed to be successful at the next level. I don't know about his blocking but in terms of receiving he might as well be a wide receiver.
Lamar Miller is a great talent but I doubt he falls to us in the 2nd round and I don't think he's worth taking at 20 w/e as long as there are defensive players like Fletcher Cox or Devin Still available.
Montee Ball is a guy I like but I don't think he's worth a 2nd rounder and I think his success isn't really indicative of great ability just because he played behind an excellent run blocking line in Wisconsin, they churn out 1000 yard rushers like the Broncos of old. He's tough, and has solid vision but he's nothing special IMO. I'd be willing to use a third to draft him though.

Jones would definitely be tempting if he was available, especially if we dont make the playoffs and Tebow plays bad again, but QBs always get pushed up the board so i doubt he's available.

How does Oklahoma manage to get a joke bowl game year in and year out. UConn and Iowa? Seriously?
