Don't forget about this awesome one...

The #Broncos have signed DE Cyril Obiozor to a future contract.
I like that name, kind of sounds like it's a whole new level of body odor... Obiozor.

I started a thread about this. I guess it got lost...LOL.

We also signed CB Ramzee Robinson to a future contract.

Glad Jarmon is back. Now let him play LDE and we'll have something.

I hope the Broncos keep Jarmon exclusively at DE this time. And tell him to lose 5-10 pounds.

              2013: Worth the Wait

In 2012, we should, and probably will, give Tebow a chance to prove himself after an offseason with the Denver Broncos. We should NOT surround our offense with gimmick players just because of Tim, but we should draft for conventional players and try and mold Timmy while also drafting players that won't set us back in case Tebow doesn't work out.

With all that being said, we should wait till 2013 to look at drafting a QB high, because of the reasons previously listed, and because next year will be littered with great quarterbacks such as Matt Barkley, Tyler Bray, Tyler Wilson, Logan Thomas, and Aaron Murray. And there will most likely be that "new guy" coming up, as there is every year (Griffin, Newton)

My biggest fear is that we will regress like the Chiefs and Bucs did. IMO, we are to close to be experimenting. We are a good QB away from going into the playoffs convincingly this year. I truly understand why people want to wait and see what happens next year, but personally, I don't think we can afford to.

Yup this is what I was thinking. I saw where the Bucs were drafting and then remembered how good they were last year.

If the defense can improve with Dennis Allen and O-line gets better. Get better receivers. To me all we need is that Quarterback

Tyler Bray, Tyler Wilson, and Logan Thomas all have great potential to be franchise QBs. And after this year's draft, I don't think there will be as high of a demand at QB so we can really have our pick of the litter. There's also some other guys such as EJ Manuel, Tajh Boyd, and Geno Smith that could develop as good backups for Tebow should Tebow take a step forward next year. But if he doesn't, I really like Tyler Wilson, especially if he has a good year next year with all the WRs he's losing this year.

Ladies and Gentlemen, our next great Bronco might declare

KNILE DAVIS! he was hands down my favorite running back coming into the year. He's a 220 pound back at Arkansas that ran a 4.2 electronically last offseason before breaking his ankle, which has fully recovered. He HAS TO be a Bronco, it makes too much sense. He reminds me a lot of Arian Foster and Terrell Davis is running style, so we should definitely take a LONG hard look at him.

                        ESPN Insider:

UPDATE: Did we see the last of Knile Davis in an Arkansas uniform a year ago? According to ArkansasSports360.com, Davis, who hurt his ankle before the season, has submitted his name to the NFL Draft advisory board.

"Obviously Knile would have an opportunity to come out if that's what he so chooses," coach Bobby Petrino said. "He's still really determining what he is going to do. Obviously we'd love to have him come back. He's a guy that would make a huge impact next year."

Davis didn't play this season, which could hurt his draft stock. Then again, if he comes back next year and gets hurt again, that could make it even worse. The last on-field memory we have of Davis is him averaging 101.6 yards per game. He probably hopes that NFL people will remember that first.

                        ---

We didn't think Knile Davis would return at all this year. Now, it seems like there's an outside chance he could be in against Kansas State for the Razorbacks Bowl game, the Arkansas News reports.

"Knile will be back to full speed in a hurry, actually," Bobby Petrino told the paper.

Says the News, "That doesn't mean Davis -- whose plans for the bowl game and next season remain unknown -- is cleared to play against Kansas State on Jan. 6. Davis has not been available for comment since August. Petrino has maintained he doesn't believe the junior would be ready when Arkansas plays in the Cotton Bowl. The running back has participated in practices since early November, but was limited to non-contact work until the screw in his ankle was removed."

While we don't know for certain if Davis will be in, this would be a pretty good sign that he's progressing.

Yep, you hit it right on the head. O-Line needs to get better at pass-protecting and that's obvious. Demetrius Bell would be a good addition because after today's news he had knee surgery (arthroscopic-minor) he should be on the cheap. He's a good pass protector more than anything, but he would allow us to have some positional flexibility. He played both tackle positions for the Bills, and I like bringing Ryan Harris back. Chris Clark actually played some quality football as a 6th OL, so that's promising.

Receivers are a bit of an issue. I personally like DT, Decker, and Willis. I also really like Mark Dell and hope he can return to how he looked in TC/Preseason before the injury. We're still going to need to add a couple more to the squad, as I'm anticipating Royal's departure. Kendall Wright, T.Y. Hilton, Joe Adams all seem like good fits to bring something a little different to the WR corps.

I think the defense is promising as well. At times they look really good, but they still struggle against offenses that spread them out (Packers, Lions, Patriots, Bills). Chris Harris was a huge find, but we're going to need to add to that secondary. Goody should probably be replaced, he's the weakness on the outside obviously. A rookie would be nice, but bringing in a vet is more likely considering Fox's track record.

The DL is coming into form. Bunkley was a great signing, Thomas has proven that if he can be kept in a rotation, he is effective. It will be all about finding the penetrating UT. Calais Campbell would be huge. But if we realistically want to get Flynn, Campbell would be out of our price range. Fletcher Cox in the 1st appears to be the most dynamic interior pass-rusher, which will also see him shoot up draft boards.

I think the report is wrong. It's just speculation from Rotoworld, without source.

Broncos signed DT Jeremy Jarmon and CB Ramzee Robinson to reserve/future contracts.

In late July, the Broncos traded Jabar Gaffney for Jarmon. Jarmon was waived at final cuts, spending the season on Denver's practice squad, while Gaffney turned in a 68-catch, 947-yard campaign in D.C. Jarmon entered the league as an end, but will try to make it as a defensive tackle in 2012 training camp.
Jarmon was not even on the Broncos practice squad. The team moved Jarmon to LDE during camp, and Xanders said it was the natural position. But Jarmon was used again as a DT after Ty Warren tore his triceps.

This time, I expect the Broncos to keep Jarmon at DE.
