Moreover, if this team is going to focus on winning with defense and ball control going forward, then we already have our QB and need to use the draft to collect--surprise!--players who will contribute to defense and the running game. RB, WR, OL, DT, CB are all far more pressing needs right now than additional "running" QBs.
Agreed that's why I like the projection with us taking Alshon Jeffrey. He would help out Tebow a ton.

How about Dennis Dixon in Pittsburgh right now. Dude can run and pass and is in the last year of his deal I believe. Looked good in his only start last year too...

        Danny Coale

Did anyone else notice this guy in the virginia tech game. He showed reliable hands, quick cuts and good routes. He reminded me of wes welker. Maybe he could be a late round guy we could get to become our slot wide reciever. Our biggest offensive need is a slot wr or TE who can worrk over the middle. He was also a captain thats also a plus too.

he's been a great target for a few years now at VT. He was a got to guy for Tyrod Taylor, and even won the Nebraska game for the Hokies two years ago. I like him, but he doesn't excel in anything but competitiveness. Not a bad thing though.

Where is he projected to go? I liked whaf I saw from him in the bowl game, as well as the other receiver Boykin.

Coale is projected to be an UDFA. Boykin is projected to be a 7th rd pick to UDFA.

I would definitely pick up one in the 7th to compete for a spot if they were available in the 7th.

Coale got robbed on that TD in overtime.

                    1. I don't like giving up that many picks for RG3. We have way too many needs on the team.

                    2. They would use RG3, Webb and McGahee in the backfield before Tebow.

                    3. I don't see exactly what you plan on using Webb for in that mix. Out of 3 Qb's you expect 1 to take snaps and the other 2 to be RB's? Not really sure how that works. We could just have natural RB's instead like I already pointed out.

                    4. Peyton Hillis won't be released by the Browns so that kind of makes it impossible to resign him.
I'll bet you said the same thing to those who said we would be in the playoffs wif Tebow at the beginning of season, huh? or that the run/option wouldn't work in the NFL

What in the world are you talking about? What does any of that have to do with the idea of trying to use 3 QB's in the backfield at the same time?

And no I have actually been a big supporter of the run/option. People say defenses figured it out. No they didn't. We still ran for like 270 on the Chiefs. Tebow just couldn't complete a pass to save his life to keep drives moving.

                      • He should go to a team that also doesn't have a great punter. Danny has a monster leg - averaged 43.5 yards/punt this year with a long of 61...

I wouldn't mind picking him up, though. He had a great year and has been incredibly consistent with VT.
