Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

I don't get the Alshon Jeffery love. Lots of people here really seem to like him. IMO he is way over rated and will not be a very good NFL WR for at least a couple years. He runs bad routes, is lazy in the offseason, doesn't block, and doesn't have any more speed than the other denver WR. Taking him in the 1st round is a huge gamble, imo, and I don't see Denver using their first pick on a gamble when WR isn't even a very big need.
He has made some great catches but I don't trust him long term. I would take Juron Criner before I took Jeffery and he isn't even a top pick option yet.
He def dies block and he's a very tale Ted receiver. Having Garcia throwing to you doesn't help at all. Never heard any questions about his work ethic.

Does he (#1) look like a guy who stays in shape during the offseason? He looks like he is 250+ to me. That reeks of moving to TE eventually.
That being said, I don't think we should go WR 1st round. But, I wouldn't be mad if the FO went that direction.
Tebows best ball is the deep ball, and 2 Deep Threats would definately help him.
But, we just drafted Thomas 2 years ago near the same pick AND we have bigger holes than WR imo.

Jeffery us a beast but more of a possession receiver and demaryius is a deep threat. Having a base core of Jeffery, Thomas and decker, all who can man handle recievera and can somewhat match up with lb's will help our run game even more. It will help us in the redone and I will give tebow a bigger throwing radius given his accuracy issues. I don't think Jeffery is a top 10 pick. He has top 10 potential and he's worth the pick
I went to the capitol one bowl and Jefferys was in very good shape. He absolutely owned Denard of Neb. and looked great. I don't know how good his 40 will be but he used body positioning very well. I would be very happy if the broncos were able to get him that low.
Again, he made Denard look like an average cb. In press coverage he repeatedly beat him and gained separation.

What happens the first year that Jeffery shows up to TC at 260 pounds? Is that the nightmare size you speak of?
You're being over the top right now. There is no chance that a rookie WR would be that stupid as to show up 35 pounds overweight. You make it sound like he will never train. That's crazy.

In that picture I posted above, #98 is listed at 260 pounds, #21 is listed at 230 pounds. #6 is listed at 276. How much does #1 look like to you? That was taken last August.
