QB prospect- Darren Thomas from Oregon

Why? Our defense is already one of the best in the league when they aren't on the field all game. Elway said it himself, our problem is that our Quarterback doesn't convert 3rd downs. I look for a new QB or two to be in Denver next year .

i agree with your enthusiasm that our defense is good. not there yet but close. and yeah if we cant move the sticks we are screwed.

i dont think qb at 25 is our best pick a DT is the most likely and we will be a top d. when we can bring 4 and still sack disrupt and let 7 cover.

MLB do we resign mays whos very solid or do we go to irving? you know the guy we didnt even see this year......least i dont remember see'n him.

During our win streak of 6 our defense was dominant. They played at an elite level. They scored some points. Got some timely turnovers and also allowed an average of 16.6 PPG. That is amazing. We need our offense to be able to contribute more to this team. It was pretty much if the defense didn't show up. We were done. Except against the Vikings. The offense was better but overall the offense gave up 5 points on a Tebow fumble and a safety. And the defense scored 7 of the points and got us the turnover to kick the winner.

I would have no problem taking a Qb at 25 if there was a guy worth it. If John Elways decides there is then great. But I don't see it. We may be stuck with Tebow for another season. Hopefully he improves a lot though.

now are we to blame it on anemic offense or are we gonna say straight up guys....... you need to get it done when our "o" aint the best on the block.?

2 rookies threw for 300+ on us this year. the draw against us was devestating. and we are here thinking qb?....wr? he tebow needs to get it together...decker needs to show up down the stretch.

but guess what we dont have that which meens d has to step up and take the lumps and dominate.......all game every game.

I am think QB because it was one of the worst performing positions on the team. This defense as you said was also awful at times. However our offnese was consistantly bad. And I don't know what it is but in recent years this defense has made bad quarterbacks look much better than they are. Not just rookies. Look at the history though just from like the last 4 years.

I think DT is the obvious option and I hope it is the pick. At least in the first 3 rounds

I've seen a lot of Oregon football and I just don't see it. He doesn't have an NFL arm, IMO. He's also not big enough to handle the pounding of being a running QB in the NFL. I would honestly be surprised if he got drafted.

I watch every Oregon game I can- he's developmental for sure and will be a bargain- that would be the allure. Let's face it, we're gonna draft a quarterback, the only question is in which round

I think he gets drafted if for no other reason than it's a weak QB class- they always seem to go higher than they should.... He's played in some big games and is only a junior as well.

I don't see the fascination with these thin mint QBs. Him along with RG3 would get shattered trying to run the football in the NFL. Thomas is just another Troy Smith. Not worth a draft pick IMO.

Well I think ideally you'd want RGIII to slide at the end of runs ...obviously he's not Tebow and cannot, should not finish runs like him
