@1:05Big TD #1 Goodman get completely shut-down by a WR for 40 yds? It looks like Goody doesn't even make an effort to get over and make a tackle.

@1:50 Same thing, Goody playing way too deep and doesn't make an effort to run up to make a play letting him basically walk in for a TD.

That was his give-up first mentality on display during Minnesota

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=daN5f8L-haE

@:30 We see Goodman not trying a bit and giving up a TD to NE

@1:02 Heres Goody giving Branch like 5 feet of seperation for a 40 yard TD

@1:30 Here is Goody again not sticking with his man and giving up another TD

That was the Patriot playoff game

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N322GD5_B9U

@1:10 we have Goodman completely blowing a route to give Ochocinco his only TD of the year

That was the first Patriot game

@:05 Remember when I said Goody can't tackle? Nuff said

@:47 Another TERRIBLE tackle by AG

This has both our first game VS Raiders and Bengals

I could go on and on throughout the years of this same half-hearted play. I don't honestly think hes as bad as he shows on the field. He just doesn't care when hes out there, and you can see it. I want 100% from everyone, this dude is tossing in 32%. I'm not wasting anymore time pasting vids tho, they're everywhere...watch any game
Vikings TD #1: Was not Goodman's man. Whomever was covering him (Bailey or Harris) fell, Bruton took a TERRIBLE angle, and Goodman was blocked. It happens.

Vikings TD #2: Was not Goodman's man. Bailey was blocked (who was covering him), McCarthy one-upped Bruton by letting Harvin almost walk by, Goodman did jog, but he was blocked. Not one of his better plays, but shouldn't have been on him either.

Pats Playoff #1: Goodman had decent coverage, that was an impossible throw and an impossible catch. There isn't a single player in the NFL that makes that play when Gronk makes a catch like that.

Pats Playoff #2: He was burned here. Coverage was okay, but he turned his head at the wrong time, didn't see the ball, and was beat.

Pats Playoff #3: Hernandez got open on a 7 man rush. Goodman probably should have played more press. TD was allowed because Bruton lowered his head instead of tackling. Worst part was, even with the 7 man rush, Brady had no pressure in his face, and Welker was open for a 1st against Bailey as well. The team was outplayed on this down.

Pat Game: Goodman was not burned on this play. They were playing a zone coverage, Goodman had short responsibility, Carter was supposed to cover deep on that side. Carter bit on the receiver that Moore was already covering, leaving that half of the field wide open. Being at this game, I can tell you that Carter got a tongue lashing from Goodman and the coaches for his play, and after the game he admitted to blowing it.

Lowlight vid #1 and #2: Yea, that was bad. I don't think anyone can claim he is a good tackler.

That said, there are surprisingly worse tacklers in the NFL. PFF broke down best and worst tacklers in the NFL last year. Champ and Wilhite made the top 10 (and bum of a dude Nate Jones too). Worst tackling CBs: Brandon McDonald, Asante Samuel, Nathan Vasher, Shawntae Spencer, Malcolm Jenkins, Kyle Wilson, Nnamdi Asomugha, D. Rogers-Cromartie, Vontae Davis, Donald Strickland.

The only thing I can see is you have a problem with Goodman and are really ready to point a finger at him without actually studying what is happening in the film. The guy is an okay #2 until we can hopefully get a young guy to compete with Chris Harris for the spot.

Ya munmun; you're right. I've stated over and over again my change in thought process going into the season with him. I don't think hes good, I think Harris should have it but I do think he needs to be here.

I will make this perfectly clear to any newb/user/vet or MOD: I will never have a personal vendetta against a player, ever. I go back and watch all 16 games...I see all the 3rd and longs where we coulda forced a punt but let the drive continue because (predominantly) his poor play. I've said through pages 2-4 now that I had a bit of a change of heart and offered some suggestions.

I already was attacked once for singling out Goody as an outstanding weakness in our secondary so I was retroactive with it and offered some solutions. Please weigh in on my amended thoughts. The posts leading up to it are not deleted because I want people to read the progression between MHS and myself; however, too many people are reading first 3 posts and hitting reply I guess

well. While I dont like the overall performance he gave this year (not saying he truly busted the season) but he's more of a zone cover/ball hawking cb than a man to man/press cover/tackling cb.

Now that being said would he be less of a liability playing safety? Because I like is turnover timing but hate the burned smell when he's playing man (all the wr has to do is a simple slant....ok maybe I'm pushing it but not far IMO)

                So Goody to safety ?
