  • Tight Ends

We NEED to draft a solid, big time tight end. I'm sorry but Rosario and Thomas just arent that. They are depth at best. Gronk and Hernandez just show how much it opens up an offense. Give Tebow a full offseason with our WR's and draft a monster at TE and this team will go to a whole new level.

How about we try using our TEs 1st before we're ready to replace them.

Watching that game also told me that a top caliber defense can still give the top offenses big time trouble despite the rules. Patriot offense looked completely different against the Ravens than it did against us, obviously!

I agree with you on the importance of the tight end though. We are seeing it all over the league.

So the Broncos should just go pick a solid, big time tight end off the solid, big time tight end tree.

Drafting or signing one from free agency is better that throwing our cash at another Ty Warren or Andre Goodman :thumb:

Well, I think there are more pressing need to fill first than getting a TE with our 1st round pick. Mainly CB and DT because defenses are what gets your team going far in the game/season.

Now I'd like us to use more of the TE's in our offensive schemes before 'burning' a high pick on the position. We could have Bronkonski on our roster and he would not be targetted like he is in NE.

Player A: Not up to snuff, needs to be replace

                Man, these boards...

At any rate, let's see what we have in TE's coming up. No TE was ever really a breakout his rookie season.

While under John Fox, there was only 1 TE ever to get over 1000 CAREER yards as a TE, Kris Mangum( Part of his tenure was before Fox).

126 games with 1424 yards. 11 Yards per game.

After Fox leaves, who does Carolina get? Jeremy Shockey and Greg Olson.

Unless Fox becomes a different coach, I just don't see it.

Yeap, i'm bold enough to endorse somebody that others won't. There are very few bandwagons you'll catch me on.

The fact remains the same. It doesn't make since to bring in another TE when we mostly use ours to block. If they really had a shot in the passing game and sucked, then i'd agree with you. But we haven't given our TEs much chances in the passing game to prove themselves.

We could have had Gronkowski in this offense and he still wouldn't put up the production that he's had in NE.

I'm curious to see if Cornellius Ingram is fully recovered from his knee issues. He was suppose to be a stud coming out of Florida, and a #1 draft pick before he blew out his knee.

If he is recovered this could be a huge pick up for us.

Can we get a HOF QB to go along with that shiny new TE?

How's Gronk at blocking? Like every-play blocking, not just here and there? 'cuz that's what our offense does with tight ends.

If we're going to copy the New England offense I can think of a lot of personnel changes that will need to happen.

If you look at it, Fox was all over the TE trend. How many did we have in training camp? So some didn't work out because of our scheme or QB not targetting them.. Lets look at real needs before we start replacing players that havn't really been tested.
