Free agency and the draft are two different things obviously. I think we need to use the draft to get LBs and DLinemen.
We should use FA to try and get a WR, RB, TE and CB and maybe a safety. Youre just not going to get a good LB or DT in FA. Thats why we need to draft somebody good at those positions!

with the combines coming next month..
There are players that didn't get much exposure that I really want to take a closer look at. You may have some player that you want to see a little more of.
The one that comes to mind with me is Ron Brooks, LSU CB. In 2011 he was stuck behind a Heisman Trophy finalist on one side and a top 10 2012 draft choice, on the other side. He is 5'11" 178, runs a 4.36 to 4.47 40, and twice in 2011 won SEC awards for his outstanding play in SEC games. Bruce Feldman of CBS Sports wrote that he would probably start at CB on 20 of the top 25 schools. He may be a UDFA that our Broncos can pick up?
Who are the players that you have seen and would be interested in how they do at the combines?

Chandler Jones, DE Syracuse.
Didn't really get a lot of sacks this season but he was injured in the beginning of the season. He's tall, long arms and has the frame to still get bigger.
Brothers are Arthur jones from the Ravens and UFC fighter Jon Jones. From what I've seen from him in games he might be someone that will go up draft boards if he does well in the combine.

Brooks played safety, but projects as a corner. He's a really good tackler and makes plays all over. I want him, he should be available in mid rounds.
Also, Patrick Edwards from Houston is a beast. He's 5'10 so he'll drop to the late rounds, but he was second in the nation in receiving yards and is a great returner.Fightin' Texas Aggie c/o '16

must see for those unaware of Keenum and Edwards:
Edwards is like a smaller, yet faster Brandon Lloyd. He has natural hands and is a ball machine.
Keenum is also small, about 6'1, and his arm is often questioned. In this video you can see that his arm strength is definitely not too big of a problem.Fightin' Texas Aggie c/o '16
