Peyton Manning Mock Draft
Mentality- We need to change our mentality a bit. On defense, we're already doing so, but we need to build to play from ahead. This means pass rushers and DBs. On offense, weapons for Manning. Simple as that.
Trade Timothy Tebow for a 3rd Round pick from the Jaguars.
Trade a second rounder for Jonathan Stewart
Sign- Jeff Saturday, Dallas Clark, Brodrick Bunkley, Brian Dawkins (one more year, buddy), Amobi Okoye, Marcus Trufant
Reports are that we're going after Saturday, Clark can come too.
1st Round- Mike Wallace. Swag. We take him from Pittsburgh, and put an animal across from Demaryius.
3rd Round- Joe Adams, WR/KR, Arkansas- Royal's gone. We need more explosiveness both on offense and special teams. Joe Adams gives us both, and is GREAT at both. He'll be a dynamic returner, and coming in as the 4th receiver behind Thomas, Wallace, and Decker, he'd be great. He also has the ability to line up as a weapon in the backfield, Percy Harvin like.
3rd Round- Mike Martin, DT, Michigan- Makes all of the sense in the world. High motor player in a position of need.
4th Round- Nick Foles, QB, ASU- Developmental QB behind Manning if Tebow leaves. Manning like in measurables, just needs seasoning.
5th Round- Ronnie Hillman, RB, SDSU- Mini Marshall Faulk, as Faulk claimed himself. Indianappolis had 3 3rd down running backs as their only backs, we'll settle for 2, Moreno being the other. Hillman could be our Darren Sproles.
6th Round- Donte Paige-Moss, DE, UNC- He has elite natural ability, he just needs coaching and motivation. Worth the risk in the sixth, because he could end up being a real stud.
7th Round- Blake Gideon, S, Texas- Was formerly considered a second round pick, but he stayed 2 years longer than he should have. If he can rebound, he'll be a good depth player at least.
QB- Peyton Manning, Nick Foles, Adam Weber
RB- Wilis McGahee/Jonathan Stewart, Knowshon Moreno
FB- Spencer Larsen
WR- Demaryius Thomas, Joe Adams, Matt Willis
WR- Mike Wallace, Eric Decker
TE- Dallas Clark, Julius Thomas, Virgil Green
LT- Clady, Harris
LG- Beadles, Franklin
C- Saturday, Walton
RG- Kuper, Hochstein
RT- Franklin/Harris
DE- Dumervil, Paige-Moss
DE- Ayers, Beal
DT- Bunkley, Thomas
DT- Okoye, Martin, McBean
WLB- Williams, Woodyard
MLB- Irving, Mays
SLB- Miller, Haggan
SS- Dawkins, Adams
FS- Carter, Moore, Bush
CB- Champ, Goodman, Thompason
CB- Trufant, Harris, VaughnFightin' Texas Aggie c/o '16

Manning's arrival, how does it affect draft strategy?
Greetings all, first post from a long time lurker. I hope it is a good start. No bandwagon here, born and live in N.C. but been a part of Colorado in spirit (and body from time to time) since 1976, when my Dad moved out there. Got my first "Orange Crush" T-shirt and my Vail Winter Olympics gear that year. Suffice to say, I loath all things Texas, spit on a Raiders grave, Still think that the stadium should and always will be "Mile High", and wave when passing on the mountain road.
It's a bit lonely being a Bronco in North Carolina, but there is a far amount of exchange between our two states, enough so I find fans just about anywhere. The only other team I love as much is my NC STATE WOLFPACK! (This has been a most excellent few days of sporting news)
So my first question here:
With Manning joining the team, how does this affect the draft strategy? Do we pursue a WR now in the first round? I need to go back and check out who will be around when the Bronco's pick to see the projected talent, but feel that another solid WR prospect would really tighten up things for the new passing oriented offense.
FYI, I do like the Panthers back here in N.C., and when Fox went to Denver, lets just say I was less than thrilled. Still, he is a decent coach and I feel he can win the big one. I felt he stifled the passing game for he is an old school coach (Defense and running the ball), so it is imperative that the OC and Manning run the show.
I bring Fox up, for the Panthers just signed Mike Tolbert from the Chargers, and since the Panthers already has a SOLID stable of RB's, that means that one of them, DeAngelo Williams (signed to a huge contract last year), Jonathan Stewart (entering the final year of his contract) and Mike Goodson (who fell out of favor last season and looks very expendable), could be on the trading block. Fox, most certainly, will be on top of this. So it looks like Denver could also add a known quality RB! One can hope.
Anyway, I am glad to be here in print instead of lurking in the shadows. I hope to be a solid contributor and GO BRONCO'S!
P.S. My co-worker is a die hard Raider fan. His tears have been most gratifying today.

This would be a scary good team, and unlike most mocks I've seen, it actually seems plausible. Gotta remember, with Fox and Del Rio being able to completely focus on the defense, that's gonna make a huge difference on that side of the ball. The Denver Broncos, aka THE NFL'S NEXT DYNASTY
