My thoughts exactly! I mean how tall is Vick?

I put a slash (/) from Franklin and Harris at RT, so that was indicating competition. Harris would be plenty good for the job.

True, but I feel like we'd be competing with the Packers for having the best weapons in the NFL. 4 wide set with a tight end would have Wallace, Thomas, Decker, Adams, and Clark. That's nasty. And having Moreno back with Manning is going under the radar, I think Moreno can bounce back big time as a 3rd down/shotgun back with Manning. He can block better than he's given credit for, which all of Manning's backs did in Indy, and he can catch and run screens.

        • Personally, while I have been advocating Mike Wallace for awhile (and still believe it's a great move) I think we should focus, for now, on what we can do with our picks barring a Mike Wallace move.

Personally, I think AJ Jenkins, T.J. Graham, and Joe Adams might very well be the best "value" picks at WR. AJ Jenkins reminds me so much of Garcon and Wayne and I've said this before. He's a crisp, sudden athlete who has shown the ability to run a full route tree. He's got quality hands, and decent speed to match. I think his talents will only be heightened by Manning (as any other receivers would), but he strikes me as the type that Manning would instantly be comfortable with.

I think we need to maintain a balanced approach. Manning can cover a lot of holes, and Saturday would be a huge addition to replace Walton, but I think we really need to keep building up this roster. But we can't ignore the D because we want to build an elite O. I think we should focus on filling immediate holes right now in the draft on both sides of the ball. We should end up with a pick or 2 more before it's all done (I wouldn't rule out a DJ trade if he wins his appeal). But, I do believe we have to keep building both sides of the ball to put ourselves in the best position to win games, and a lot of them.

Manning gives us the opportunity to be really competitive while still building up a competitive roster. We've got some holes, but Manning is a great way to mask it immediately. These next few drafts will set us up for years to come, and we're just lucky enough to still be competitive while doing so.

          • I would wait until next year to draft a QB

The QB class is going to be much deeper and with the expectation we make a deep playoff push this year with Manning we will be picking back in the mid to late 20's again next season.

With that being said the QB class next year will be a lot deeper with better all round passers with Barkley and Landry having the potential to be the two elite QBs. Then you have Wilson from Arkansas, and Murray from Georgia. I havent really kept an eye on the rest of the nations other Qbs but its always 1 or 2 Qbs emerging every season out of no where ( RG3) honestly heard nothing about him until this past season.

With that being said there is potential for 2 elite, with 2-4 really good qbs in next years class, in which someone will fall late first or early second round because it always happens, just like someone may get reached for, which also always happens.

Im not high on any QB in this class behind the two slotted to go right after one another, so Id rather wait until next year.

            thoughts?

            • Blake Gideon isnt an NFL player…i know him, went to high school w him and the only reason he ended up at UT was because his dad was the head coach of our school and he wasnt even D1 talent coming out…hes been torched all throughout his collegiate career (see UT v Bama or UT v TT when Gideon lost the game for UT and Crabtree turned into an overnight hero) and will continue to be overrated…

that said, this draft is a little to focused on offense, i say we still keep the focus on defense and add help to Manning through FA and focus the draft on D (although im ok w Wallace for our 1st)

              • I agree, I'd wait to draft a QB until 2013, or maybe even 2014, depending on Mannings health. Tyler Wilson ir Bray would be my picks.

                • You don't want Moore. He has a weenie arm, is under sized and panics under pressure. I saw him play Nevada 4 times in person and there's a reason people have him going late 6-7 round or UDFA.

Moore doesn't have half the arm Bree's does. Panics under pressure and can't scramble.

                    • Sign Tim Hightower, Dallas Clark, Jeff Saturday, Brodrick Bunkley, Marcus Trufant, Melvin Bullitt, Geno Hayes, Jameel McClain.

These are some guys that i would go after.

                      Draft

                      1.Devon Still
                      2.Stephen Gilmore
                      3.Doug Martin
                      4.Kellen Moore
                      5.Tony Clemons
                      6.Cody Johnson
                      7.Any Saftey

Kellen moore would be a great addition but the only problem is that he is short and has not as much arm strength. He is very ocnsistent.

                      • Jeff Saturday now has a visit to Denver, and Stokley is going to be signed (likely) according to La Confora.

                        • Saturdat would be nice. Give me Janoris Jenkins in the draft. We already came up on Marcus Thomas because of weed, and he's solid as a 4th rounder. Jenkins can be a #1 in a few years, I take him or Cox at 25. If he falls to the 2nd it's a no-brainer.

Definately agreed. The most likely QB that could fall to us early (with quality) is weeden, and that goes right out the door, because hes a "ready to play now" and is also 28 years old, and would be like 32 when Manning retires. After Weeden, there isnt anyone else we should even target. Im all for getting Kellen Moore, BJ Coleman, or Foles, if they fall in the 6th or later. Otherwise, lets wait

                            • In regards to QB I think they will take someone like Brock Osweiler, who could be a value pick based on potential. Bring in one vet, and have Webber and Osweiler duke it out as the back up.

                              • I will have to change my mock draft, but I am going to wait until Tebow is traded and we know which draft pick must be added.
