    Even if Porter signs we would not move Champ. Porter is strictly a # CB, plus we just signed Mike Adams to start at FS (unless Moore beats him out).

    Could Porter and Manning be on the same team? You'd have to think that the interception that Porter had in Super Bowl 44 might make things, I don't know, awkward.

    Just kidding, the signing of Porter would make a lot of sense by allowing the team to focus on other areas of the upcoming draft. Let's get it done EFX.

    This would be awesome, bring in Porter and maybe another FA or a 1st or 2nd pick and move Champ to FS.

    FS=Champ
    SS=Dawkins/Moore/Carter
    CB=Porter
    CB=Goodman/DP or FA
    CB=Thompson

    That aint too shabby of a secondary :thumb:

    Yeah definately sign this guy. Goody is about as good as gone if we get one of these FA CB's. It would also free up another position to upgrade early and allow us to use our early picks elsewhere, like DT, LB, RB, and WR.

    He had a woeful 2011 season. Awful. Allowing a 71.2% completion rate of passes. 3rd worst in the league.

    I don't know how good he is against the run though but he couldn't be much worst than Goodman in that area. I would hope even if we bring him in that Goodman stays as last season. When we got spread. We got killed.

    If it is cheap. Good signing.
    wow 71% thats pretty bad i agree if cheap...

    Pretty much agree with all this exactly ...

    Cept Goodman needs to cut that salary in half imo...

    Same! That got me even more excited. Greer is the one who's been around a little longer.
