  • Moore Now A Really Good Draft Choice?

Now that Manning, one of the smartest men to play the position of QB in NFL history, is the Bronco's QB...

Doesn't this make Kellen Moore (one of the smartest college QBs to ever play the game) a potentially lucrative draft choice for the Broncos? We could also probably pick him up very late in the draft because his tangibles aren't nearly as attractive (short, small).

Kellen Moore would be an excellent backup, and I believe is SMART enough to run a Manning offense in case anything happens to Peyton. What do you guys think? I would love to hear some more discussion on this.

I'd love moore but a lot of people aren't giving him a chance because of his height.

I'd like it. I'm a big boise fan so i'd be ecstatic to have him really.

Not a strong enough arm for my liking. He looked horrid at the combine.

        Moore will go undrafted.

He'll get picked up by someone, maybe us, but his arm isn't really NFL quality.

Not saying he wouldn't be a valuable addition to a QB group, but it would be a stretch to think he would be a viable #2 option.

I'd rather take Case Keenum. Stronger arm, taller, more production, more athletic.

ARM strength means nothing when your 21, 22, 23 because your body doesn't hit its growth spot when it stops making its largest muscle gains between 38-30 so arm strength is zero once he gets in a pro weight program he will get stronger
A healthy Kenneth Dixon is a top 5 NFL RB.

Don't really like him. And I think he goes to the Saints

Nick Foles. Tall, pocket passer, great arm. Oh and loves the Broncos

Arm strength isn't generated through weight lifting.

Tyler Bray, Tennessee's quarterback, had one of the strongest arms in the nation his freshman year. He was 6'6 180, and benched less than 250 pounds.

I just really don't think there are many other options on a football smarts basis. If Manning goes down, I would rather not have a highly sought after QB and pick up a sleeper like Moore. He is just so smart and a great decision-maker. These other suggestions... I just don't think any of them are smart enough to take up the job.

Besides, as we saw with Painter, we need a guy that can pick up the Manning system w/o Manning babysitting them. Manning isn't in the business of training a replacement. I genuinely think that we can pick up Moore really late in the draft and he would be an excellent backup for Manning.

This is true. You should have at least one starting quarterback MIND on the bench; because if you can't make a read all of the tools in the world won't matter. If we could get Mallett as a back up, I wouldn't mind Moore as a second back up in case Mallett stinks it up. Not saying Mallett is strictly tools, though, because he has a great understanding of reading defenses, IMO.

Do the Broncos have a sixth or seventh round draft choice they could use on Kellen Moore?

                          5'11, 150lb QB's aren't 'good' for anything.

                          Do not want.

I would rather them trade next year's 1st and 3rd round picks to New Orleans for Chase Daniel.

That is how I feel about Kellen Moore.

I wouldn't mind getting him in a later round.
