  • One trade to rule them all

Would it make sense, I do not think he is the best player in the world but he would come cheap.

Just wondering what all of the other Denver Nation thinks?

He wont come cheap. He would rather retire than play backup signing for league mininum. His accuracy is gone. No thanks

You want your backup QB ready at a moment's notice to come off the bench and rally the team. Who could best do that for the Broncos in the event PM is the starter?

        Tebow.

(Unless you we're asking in a rhetorical manner for Tebow.)

Ehh if we sign an over the hill back up I would rather go after Garrard if he is healthy and can still coexist with Del Rio. I don't think McNabb is even a quality back up anymore.

I was stating a backup QB's job description. Question is, who is available that best fits it?

McNabb has very little if anything left in the tank. I would pass and take a risk on one of the younger guys.

Well that isnt McNabb in my opinion. He showed in Minnesota that when hes on the bench he isnt productive at all. I seen a man that was a shell of his former self. I seen a guy that didnt care to work with Ponder. Maybe the games i watched he had a bad day, but thats the feeling i got from him. He is a good leader when hes the starter, i just dont see his personality fittign well as a backup. Thats my two cents.

I agree with your stated qualifications. I would also add that, ideally, the backup be a quarterback who is developing and could one day take over and be very good in his own right -- the big upside, and all that.

And it's almost too much to ask, but it would be nice if the backup also had some unique skills that could help the team win in special situations.

A backup goes in to play if the starter goes down. What has McNabb done in the past two years to give you confidence that he could help this team win if he had to play?

                          What was Irsay thinking?

It seems from all the reports and from comments like Bud Adams saying he'll do anything it takes that Peyton can and likely will sign a contract as if not bigger then what he previously was under contract for.

Did he even explore the idea of trading him? If not he's an idiot. I mean especially if he goes to the Titans he'd let him walk for free to his divisional opponent? He's got to be kicking himself right now.

He would of had to pay His bonus which was a lot of money on March 8th and the season didnt start until march 13th (when he could be traded)

they couldnt trade him so it was either pay him 28 mill or release him...+ irsay wants to rebuild n luck is great place to start..

just think if theyd a won 2 more games manning would prolly still be a colt bcz they wouldnt be in position for either rg3 or luck...
