I somewhat agree. If we don't bring in a CB in FA then it very well could be an option in the first round. Kirkpatrick will probably be gone, but Janoris Jenkins and Stephon Gilmore are also worthy of a 1st round pick IMO. However, we could also go with a DT in round 1 and get a CB later in the draft. But I do agree with you, as of right now this second, our CB position needs an upgrade.

We are bringing in 2 more 2 day to look at and we just really started exploring fa now that manning is done, I think i will wait until we are done in fa and see what the team looks like going into the draft before I worry about it

I agree, corner is one of our biggest needs.

1. C (Walton will get Manning killed)
2a. DT
2b. CB
3. TE
4. RB

Gotta protect the neck, then shut down the other teams. CB we have champ, but it's a huge dropoff after that. Which, being Champ, will be the case no matter what, but we need to upgrade #2 significantly.

If we can get a DT that can collapse the pocket from the middle, CB isn't as huge a need, but if we don't CB becomes a huge need. Goodman outside of a couple plays was terrible. Harris is a great tackler, but suited for the nickle. #2 CB is a huge need.

Tracy Porter or William Gay would solidify our #2 CB spot. Squid coming back will be big if he is healthy. I think Chris Harris is for real. Add a guy like Hosley or Judie to start to groom and I'll feel pretty confident on our CB group.

For the last time, champ is NOT moving to safety. He stated so himself in an interview this last season.

You only move a CB to S when they can no longer play CB at an acceptable level or you have better young CB's. Neither situation applies here and there's simply no benefit to doing so right now.

As for safety Carter was mostly solid in his rookie year and Adams is also a solid pickup. Those two could form a pretty decent starting pair. Also if Moore can learn to tackle he can definitely be a good option. Bruton looked solid as well late in the year, nothing special but he did the job. Also if Dawkins doesn't return I could see the team looking at a guy like Yermiah Bell who is a similar to Dawkins in that he is a in-the-box run focused SS.

We still got Champ, C. Harris, Squid's coming back from injury, So is Cash Vaughn. No doubt we need to draft a CB, but I rather get a stud DT in the first. We have a Good young core at Safety in Moore, Carter, Bruton, and we signed Adams who is underrated, but i wouldn't mind if we signed Y. Bell for a good and solid Veteran Backfield.

Well with Bunkley gone now don't look to the draft for getting any help with this at all.

I will sat that I did really like what Harris brought last year and so lets hope he continues to get better and can hold down the spot opposite Champ.

Our Safety situation is worse IMO, unless you think Moore is going to miraculously lear how to tackle.

IMO the D takes a big step backwards next season, unless we make some key moves.
