  • Lindley has accuracy issues I am not interested in him. I prefer Osweiler, Foles, and Coleman if we take a QB at all.

    • I like Lindley, is definitely a project but cna make it happen.

I don't want anything to do with Foles. That man had a TERRIBLE pro day, and isn't all THAT great anyways.

        • Terrible? Didn't he only throw 8 passes? Then transferred out after freshman year?

          • Only Game Video for Kendall Reyes on Youtube

He had 36 reps at the combine (Good for 2nd among DTs) and during the season he had 46 total tackles, 4.5 sacks, 4 Pass deflections, and 13.5 tackles for loss. Those are pretty good numbers for a DT. I think the guy is the total package and would be an awesome tackle to pair with someone like Brandon Thompson

It also really helps that Reyes HUSTLES. He just doesn't give up on plays or take plays off like some DTs.

            • I still think Foles or Cousins should be who we go after. Foles even more so now that he is dropping.

              • Value signings still left...

There are still some holes and still some money left to spend on some free agents. I understand the philosophy of building through the draft, but that was scrapped for the most part the moment we signed Manning. WIN NOW! Here are some good value signings that I would still love to see:

C- Andre Gurode, I think he might have 1-2 good years left and would be coming home as an upgrade to J.D. Walton at a low cost.

OG- Eric Steinbach, He is still very good, but was released. Would fit perfect with Manning and would allow Zane Beadles to slide to a "do everything" back-up along the line, which he seems more suited for.

RB- Brandon Jacobs, Still out there and he and Willis McGahee together would be devastating. Might get about the same contract that McGahee got lost year.

WR- Braylon Edwards, Hear me out. Sign him to a 1-year make good deal. There will be some drops, but with Manning throwing him the ball he could really be the guy everyone thought he would be. If not, you haven't lost anything.

DE- Matt Roth, A guy who is still young and would be a good situational guy behind Ayers & Dumervil. If healthy, he could play a lot.

DT- Amobi Okoye, A lot of people want him , but there isn't much left and he's still young enough that he could develop into a player.

Resign: Mario Hagan, Marcus Thomas, Jason Hunter, Brian Dawkins (one more year)

                Thoughts?

                • Braylon was the first to come to mind before I opened the thread, signing both him and Okoye would round out this class nicely.

                  • Will only take Osweiler if he is there in the 6th round. Not a fan of Foles.

                    • Braylon makes a ton of sence. Yeah he isnt the best, and he drops a lot of balls but so do DT and Decker. But he makes plays and he can play the X. Which wouold move DT to the Z and Decker to the slot where he belongs. Then next season if DT is ready for the X give it to him and walk away from Braylon, if not give braylon another year

Osweiler will likely go in the 2nd...3rd at the latest.

In that case, will pass on him. 2nd, 3rd and 4th round picks are valuable.
Elvs, Brandon Marshall, Quinton Carter former 4th round picks. Why wast it on a guy that has a high bust potential.

                            • Gurode and Steinbach- both of them are done and would be downgrades to both Walton and Beadles as surprising as that may sound.

Jacobs- I hear he is likely to stay in NY. Also he's really not much if at all better than Lance Ball and he has a terrible attitude. I'd pass.

Braylon- an interesting option gives the team some insurance if Deck or DT go down or just aren't up to the task. Curiously though hasn't received much, if any, interest in the market despite WR's being in high demand this offseason.

Matt Roth- makes sense if he comes cheap. He's very solid vs. the run, but is he too similar to Ayers?

Okoye- obviously makes sense with our lack of DT's. That said I don't know how cheap he'll be. Also you have to wonder if his performance in Chicago is the real him or if he'll revert back to his form with the Texans. Given his age I tend to side toward the optimistic view and thus would be happy to have him.

                              • Put me down for line depth:

                                C- Andre Gurode
                                OG- Eric Steinbach
                                DE- Matt Roth
                                DT- Amobi Okoye

Put'em in camp and make them win spots. If they don't play well, cut them.
