      haha

But leshoure is coming off an Achilles injury and best is hanging on by a thread with his concussion history. Kevin smith does fine for them but I wouldnt be surprised if they did this.

that I can also see happening.

Rather he is a first round talent or not someone will reach for him becuase he is the second best on the board.

        • Trade down from 25 scenario...

We all know that Xanders has been a big fan in gaining extra value by trading down...in fact he did it masterfully the last couple of years.

The 25th pick is worth 720 points according to the trade value chart. That should be worth at least a 2nd and 3rd round pick.

Let's say we are confident one or two of Worthy, Reyes, Martin and Thompson will be available for our second rounders...If EFX is high on all these guys I could see a trade down develop if DT's are not flying off the boards.

I believe after Cox, most of the DT's are pretty equal...even though they all have different strengths or weaknesses.

If a Kirkpatrick, Jenkins, Floyd or even Cox drops to 25 it could garner a lot of interest from teams having picks early in the second round. (Remember us 3 years ago with Alphonso Smith...I know we are all trying to forget that one).

We than could go two DT's in the second and a RB and CB in the third or some other of the many possibilities.

          Thoughts?

          • We're on the same page here, bud. I have us trading down to the Colts pick in the 2nd rd. We get their 2nd and 3rd this year.

With the 25th pick, the Colts will draft TE Coby Fleener. With our 2 2nds, we'll draft DTs Brandon Thompson and Mike Martin.

              I would love that!

Also if the rumors for Jonathan Stewart are correct we could use that extra 3rd and something else to land him and still get are DT's in the second.

              • If Cox is there, no brainer you pick him. But he won't be.

I could go both ways with this. I like Cox a lot...but it would defenitely mean we have to get another DT/NT type early as Cox is a pure UT.

It seems like all of our DT's left (Warren, Vickerson) are really UT's and with Ayers coming in at UT on 3rd down...would we just be overloading something of depth?

I love Cox's athleticism, but he still seems pretty raw and not as ready as a Worthy or Thompson.

Plus it would mean we could get awesome value in a trade if other teams love Cox as much as the draft experts do!

That's true. But i'd like to get a contract done before we trade our 3rd away. I'd be to scared to risk losing him next year.

BTW, IMO, you can throw that value chart out the window. I don't think teams really use that anymore.

I like the way you think, then again anyway to get Mike Martin on this team is a good idea to me.

True...it seems like they are paying even more from what I've seen...it's just suppose to be some kind of starting point reference...have u heard of something more accurate teams are going with lately?

I'm sure with the new rookie CBA that higher picks are valued even more!

Nah, haven't heard a thing. Just looking at these trades lately.

I'm for trading down and that sounds good, but do you think the Colts would give up those picks when they're rebuilding?

In his first start T.J Yates has tied Tony Romo for playoff wins.

I thought about that also, but when you look at it, they'd only be losing 1 pick. We'll get their 2nd and 3rd, but they'll get our 1st.

EDIT: As of right now, they have 1 TE on their roster. I'm pretty sure that they'd love to add Lucks favorite target to the team.

                              • If your a team that is looking for a ring ASAP you go quality over quantity. I wouldn't be shocked if we traded up, down isn't likely unless the players we want are off,the board.
