If we do end up taking a defensive tackle then we should take one around 340 pounds. A player of this size doesn't have to rely on technique as much and can make a difference from the start the two guys that stand out are poe and taamu

Otherwise he wouldn't have gone number 3.

Shouldn't matter though. Poe will most likely be gone by time we draft, and I don't see us going anywhere near Ta'amu.sigpic

Our defensive line is pretty one dimensional as it is. We don't have a single guy that is above average against the run and above average at generating pass rush. I'm not sure we even have a guy that is average at both. (I'll put Vickerson and Warren in the ? category because we have limited knowledge of how either will be performing.) Normally I'm all for getting lighter pass rushers, bigger run defenders, asking ourselves who can we get that will be able to contribute the most in at least one way. However, we could really use some balanced players on the defensive line. This really showed up last year when the opposing team could do either and then we ended up showing we couldn't stop either.

Believe whatever you like, dareus and Ta'amu are not even close to the same skill set. Buffalo will be playing a 4-3 next season, we will see if you are right. I think dareus will do very well.sigpic
