Kalil is a top 3 or 5 pick, so he won't last anyway, but even if he did where would he play ?

With Clady at LT he would play RT, We would also be extenting Clady's contract soon.

Kalil may look way too low, but in reality if we took him he'd probably be a RT, who we would need to pay big on his next contract, or lose him.

Or you let Clady go and play Kalil at LT, but how does that make us much better as a team ?

I'm high on Still, and we have an obvious DT need so some of them have been pushed up the board

Way too need focused, this is definitely not the BPA approach. Kalil is just one of many examples you could pull from this list.

Even if you look at needs, how is Still the top ranked DT? I don't think barely anyone has him ranked above more than one of Cox, Brockers, and Poe.

Me personally, I think big boards should be more based on BPA, not need. Sure positional needs factor in, but Kalil is just too great of a prospect to leave out of the top 5 IMO. If we somehow got Kalil, then we'd play him at RT. But rookie contracts are so cheap now that drafting him really wouldn't be a burden. Plus, Clady's contract is up after this year, so we could choose to let him walk if we felt comfortable with Franklin at OT.

Also, I think you have Fleener to high. TE is no longer a position of need and I just don't see him as a top 20 prospect.

I disagree its nee focused, I prefer picking talent then reaching for need but I would be stupid to avoid our needs to my big board takes both into account. I explained the Kalil reason he's 14.

NFL.com has Still listed at the #1 DT, but its JMO as well, we will see.

but whats the point of lettin g Clady walk and putting Kalil at LT ? I would rather keep Clady and bring in another good prospect who could really make this team better.

I think I mixed talent and need well. As much as I like taking talent over need, I can't just completely ignore need.

Don forget that this is a Broncos big board, not a league wide one.

Fleeners a beast, especially the the RZ. He would become our #1 straight away. The TE's we have added are ok, but there's no #1 who would affect the game like Fleener could

This. Should be BPA based easily.

Although I'm not going to lie, a short board is much more conventional.

Fair enough, its all opinion so I won't argue with it.

The 2 players I had problems with were Brockers and Poe, but they do have outstanding potential if JDR can help their technique.

                            DeCastro seems low.

So if we traded down to 31 you would pick up L James ? !
