I think Jackson is supposed to be what Jeremy Jarmon was
Guy who can relieve Ayers and Doom at times on the edge while also kick inside to DT on passing downsComment

I finally got a chance to really look into him. Looks like he played inside more than outside in college. If I was looking at the right person he did pretty well against the run. With a 6'5 frame I wouldnt be surprised if he were to bulk up some and make DT his permanent position. I just don't see him as an edge rusher.Comment

Derek Wolfe and Malik Jackson seem like DTs who can provide interior pass rush the way the Giants do. Luke Richesson will strengthen and bulk them, and Nunnely will coach them primarily as 1-3 techs. They both played 1-3 tech in college.

Im not trying to get carried away but watching Jackson inside he kind of reminds me of when I was watching brockers inside. Of course brockers has a good 40-50 pounds on the guy but I think Jackson may be developed into that role of a pocket pusher/run stuffer.Comment

Dumervil's upfield, circling rip move usually separates the OT from the OG creating space for a similar move by a DT.
Ayers and Miller on the same side cause protection scheme problems and would tend to focus backfield pass protection to that side.
Dumervil has a knack for causing fumbles, and I've heard the same about Jackson. Bronco defenders named Jackson bring back many fond memories."Stultum est timere quod vitare non potes." ~ Publilius SyrusComment

I say pass downs should be Dumervil - Ayers/Jackson - Wolfe - Miller. Have Ayers and Jackson battle that job out.Fightin' Texas Aggie c/o '16Comment

At 6'5" and 6'6", they can limit throwing lanes from the pocket. Pass rush seems to have been the emphasis on the DL selections.

34 INCH ARMS! Lots of batted balls, I hope.
I think this is the perfect late round pick. Has potential & was productive on the field. He can drop back in coverage and control the flats, has hands, is BIG.
Another combo DL, and fits the NYG NASCAR mold. He may not develop into anything, but at least he's worth the shot.
Didn't hit it out w/ Beale, but perhaps this guy has a chance. Up to him now to hit the weight room and want it. Has the body & athleticism to excel... Will have the coaching.
Wolfe & Jackson could be gold, giving our DL that dynamic dimensions we need to compliment our edge rushers.
On certain passing downs, we could switch to 3-4 front. Warren at nose, with Ayers-Jackson on ends. Doom & Gloom standing on the outside.Comment
