It's like putting on game film of the GB Packers killing the Rams last year and saying that Bradford sucks as a QB.

I hate the cowboys, but seriously, they went on to win the superbowl that year and their teams the few years surrounding those superbowl wins are considered one of the greatest dynasties in NFL history.

Oh, and "the caveman" was also playing hurt.

I'm not a fan of the Osweiler pick, because I didn't think the broncos needed to address the QB position for a year at least and I hate the idea of a developmental QB anyway. The odds are overwhelmingly against Brock making any kind of impact in the NFL... maybe a Chad Henne type of impact if he even gets a shot one day.

He's a bronco, so I'm a fan, but the pick could have been used to either fill a hole or to create better quality depth at positions that are more likely to produce success outside of the first round. (Like Oline, Dline, RB, WR or LB). If Manning goes down, this season is toast and no amount of Caleb Hanies or Brock Osweilers is going to save it. However, that's true of EVERY team in the NFL.
Chad Hennes a great comparison of a QB who was touted for his raw power despite a lack of mental capability, but your right I do hope Brock pulls through, but I wish we didnt take such a heavy developmental prospect whose got trouble making reads. Granted Cousins is a high floor low ceiling player, and Lindley though strong and intelligent has personality flaws like no other. Besides that we had Foles who is strong and seems slightly intelligent but some question his slim build and limited experience.

Yes its rare for a 6'6+ QB to even be in the NFL but thats not my problem here, we have someone who was completely torn apart by scouts who questioned his intelligence at every turn with his lack of having to read defenses to simplicity of his offense (not to mention his wonderlic score), then thats all forgoten the second they realize hes huge and has a cannon.

Honestly I couldnt find to many films of the all time worst pick for one of the worst teams in the NFL. Not many people want to see Dan McGwire. Still what do you expect from a QB who couldnt understand the offense enough that after 2 seasons he was replaced by another 1st round pick and only started because those infront of him got hurt.

It was a blast having Portis (and to an extent Tatum Bell) and Lelie knowing that they could take it to the house from anywhere on the field. Hopefully with D.Thomas and Ronnie Hillman we can have a few more home run threats this season
In Lelies defense Walker was a similar player and he would have been deminished if he stayed. Its one of the reasons Walker wanted out when BM emerged

          • Why do we have to look at every free agent?? We're most likely. It signing anymore players unless someone actually good gets released
A healthy Kenneth Dixon is a top 5 NFL RB.
