Let the team jell together!
Thats the point this time they need to "Gel" is the reason they will have an 8-8/7-9 record. You are fixated on their potential and what they can be. Potential means you havent done it yet. We may be good in the future, but not now.

Despite all our turnovers the Saints offense isnt much better then ours, and the Titans are the only team with a worse defense, and I think Manning can beat the Bengals this year like Orton did last year, because overall we are a better team. I agree I felt the same way about those 2 games at the beginning of the season, but both teams show plenty more vulnerabiility on D then we do.

CINCI gave up 27 points to Cleveland

NO gabe up 35 to Carolina and 27 to KC yes thats right KC

The GIants were one of the most turnover prone teams early on last year and they one the SB

Yes, I know what potential means, thank you. lol I think we are saying the same thing except some people think we won't near our potential until next season or farther down the road and I think we will start playing much better (and nearing our potential) toward the last half of the season.
IMO predicting 7-9 is saying "we give up on this season" and I won't accept giving up. Especially giving up this early in the season.

Saints D gets turnovers, and our offense turns the ball over. The Saints D does turn the ball over, but we dont get turnovers. In a shootout it will come down to TOs, and they are better than us there.

By your logic we should have lost to the Steelers who are better at creating turnovers

We faced 3 of the top teams in creating Turnovers (thats who we lost to), infact we have yet to face a team that was negative in TO differential

              1) ATLANTA
              2) NEW ENGLAND
              4) HOUSTON
              13) PITTSBURGH
              15) NEW ORLEANS
              16) OAKLAND

New Orleans has turned the ball over to every team but GB

They also lost to KC who is actually worse then us when it comes to this subject. Not to mention Carolina whose not much better then us

Saints match-up better with us. Brees can sling with Peyton, whereas Big Ben and Palmer could not. When we faced guys that could match Peyton we lost, and Brees can not only match him, but be better than him.

That maybe true but the main reasons the Saints have lost is the fact they allow a lot of points and are low in time of possession

The best way to win a shootout is to control the ball more often. The Saints are one of the few teams we can say are worse at this subject then we are

Also they are one of the worst in creating penalties

Youre right TOP is key, however we turn the ball over a lot -6 in TO ratio, whereas the saints even get TOs +1, we also have our fair share of drive extending penalties. That said if we dont turn the ball over we win this game, but our track record says we will. Plus the idea of Mays on Sproles or Graham infuriates me...

I can see that, my opinion is Fox needs to start using Irving, heck I want him being thrown to the wolves and starting. Especially if we lose to SD and I believe we will. At least that way we can see if Irving even represents our future.

We don't have the elite speed at tge RB posistion the cheifs do. We pound the rock, and the Saints are better there. The cheifs can match-up better with the saints O, then we can. Mays on Sproles or Graham means Brees has a field day.

I agree, but that means a first time starter against Drew Brees which could be a disaster. Also not to mention we are coming off the bye and my gut tells me it will be some stupid gameplan by McCoy to start the game. At the end of the day we are a much better team when we let Peyton run the O. I also want Malik Jackson to get some looks, because at this point the defense needs to get it going somehow.

The saints have been terrible against the run regardless of whether the team has a speed back or they pound the rock.

Also, unless they run the no-huddle all game like Brady then Mays should not be out there covering him. Who did the chiefs have covering sproles all game? Belcher? Johnson? Berry?

Are biggest issue is Fox has rarely liked starting a player early on in their career, he makes a few exceptions when his coordinators strongly suggest it but thats it. Heck he only started Wolfe because the guy he wanted to replace Ayers with went down.
