Beason put on weight and got up to 240. Beason is also injured every year, largely due to not being able to hold up in the middle.

Regardless, my point was that he is still producing. He has over 1200 yards rushing and a 5 yard average, an 16 touchdowns in 10 games. That's 120 yards a game, and 1.5 touchdowns per game.

Two guys have insane potential in the draft. Margus Hunt and Ansah, I wouldnt touch either in the 1st. IMO we dont have the time to develop him. In the 2nd/3rd in a heartbeat, and let them develop behind Ayers.

A few years ago JPP was considered an athletic freak and a project coming out of the draft.

He produced situationally as a rookie and might have been the best defensive player in the league in his 2nd year, sacking the QB, stuffing the run, batting down passes, and just causing complete mayhem.

Not bad for a "project". I don't know if Ansah will be the special player JPP is. I would guess not. But he has shown impressive size, strength, and athleticism and the ability to accept coaching.

The sky is the limit for him. I'd like to see him reach that limit with us.
