Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Why? what would be bring to this team? (and I mean that as an actual question) He isn't going to get playing time..
what circumstance would you ever... ever...ever.. take Peyton Manning out of a game to put Tebow in?
He isn't going to get reps in practice + the offence we run is not suited for his style whatsoever. In addition we just drafted OS who we want to develop.
In addition it would just bring awkward drama to the dressing room, and annoying / ridiculous media coverage.
what benefit at all would he add?
I know we're high on Os, but I didn't like him coming out or in the preseason. I like Hanie, but as a 3rd stringer. Tebow competing with Os while learning behind Manning could give him a chance to hone and round out his game.
Tebow on the other hand I have always believed in. And Tebow could run this offense. We played this type of offense against NE last year in the playoffs. He was driving on them, throwing dink and dunk passes. Nickle and dining down the field. Had NE not completely lit up our D we could have won that game.

Can we have a noncondescending conversation about Tebow for once? If the answer is no, or even another condescending remark then I will not post again in this thread. Up to you.

From my perspective.. I don't think tebow is quick enough on his reads, to quick to tuck and run... and not nearly accurate enough to be running the offence. there is a what 20-25% difference in accuracy average between tebow and Peyton.
Peyton is so good because at reading/dissecting the defense. I don't feel tebow has shown that what so ever. We had to completely change our offence to suit tebow last year... and then totally rehaul it again this year.. I just don't see it my friend.

I'm sorry, but "Tebow can run this offense" just cracked me up.
Did you watch Manning mic'd up on turning point? Have you seen that he's been one of the most accurate QBs in the NFL this season?
What in the world makes you think a QB that has shoddy accuracy, bad timing, and trouble reading defenses could run an offense predicated on doing those three things great?

It's starting to look like the Broncos won't need to worry about the QB position for a long time. Osweiler signed a 4-year deal, and nowadays I think he won't play any season for the Broncos. Yeah, Osweiler probably was a wasted 2nd round pick. I can easily see Manning playing 4 seasons with the Broncos. Osweiler will become a free agent. Who knows if Tebow will still be in the NFL in 4 years? And when it's time to put Manning's replacement on the field, Elway will find someone better than Osweiler (and Tebow), someone who did not spend 4 years holding a clipboard. Osweiler had only 1 season as the starter in college and now he will spend a long time away from a real game. Tebow will never wear a Broncos uniform again. And Manning's replacement is likely playing in high school right now.

Tebow would be the 3rd QB for us if we were to sign him in my scenario. He wouldn't be the wildcat QB, he would be a healthy scratch every week.
He definitely is not quick enough on his reads, I do however disagree on his accuracy and his tuck and run mentality. He did a good job of keeping his eyes downfield and towards the latter part of the season his accuracy was significantly improving. The deep passes which are low chances for completion and the drops were not helping him.
In my scenario we would be signing Tebow to learn from Manning like Steve Young learned from Montana. Some time to learn, continue to get better, and round out his game.
His fanbase shouldn't be a problem if Tebow isn't active and the teams is winning by 2+ scores a week.

I disagree, i think Brock is his eventual replacement even if he plays out the entire contract or at least by the time Brock's rookie deal is up. I don't think he wasted a 2nd round pick on someone who won't be part of the team in the near future, i hope not anyways, time will tell i suppose.
Tebow won't be with the Broncos again, that i agree.

I meant as much as any back up could run Peyton's offense.
I have seen all that, and when Tebow was given short passes to throw last season he was accurate in throwing them. Not Peyton accurate, but easily just as accurate as Os.
Again Tebow would be brought in to learn the mental part of the game from Manning. Tebow is a hard worker, and sitting behind Manning (and for the time being Os) he could have a chance to round out his game.
Yes Tebow lacks the mental part of the game today, but 3 years sitting behind Manning could do wonders for him.

he has a career 47.9% completion percentage. I don't know how you can argue otherwise. In addition every qb has drops... manning has drops.. and hes leading the league right now in deep passes ( I do believe ) so to make an argument about 'deep balls' is folly.
Tebow made his bones because he could extend plays by scrambling and running around. I really feel like Tebow is the antithesis of someone you want in PMs offence.
