Stick to your convictions, don't let other ppl dictate what you believe. Link me to your first mock.

I agree 1000% with BroncosTX77. When you do a mock, do it based on what you think will happen based on your opinions and/or what direction you think the Broncos may go in. Never do a mock to please people, that's why so many people mocks look alike. You'll be surprise how many people don't like your mock because they don't know jack squat about that player, or they don't like it because the next man doesn't like it. And don't value a player based on what these draft sites project these players to go. You watch theses players for yourself, whether you look at them on tv and/or youtube and form your own value of that player(s).

My 1st mock of this year (which I never posted) I had us drafting DT Sheldon Richardson. I am the Co-Leader of the Sheldon Richardson fan club along with One5Beast. And although I would still love for us to draft him, in my latest mock, I have us drafting OC/OG Barrett Jones, Alabama. I know many will not agree with me, and although I may respect their opinions, I believe that the OL needs to be addressed early.

Stick to what you believe, bro! You're entitled to change if you want too, that's fine, but never change based on other peoples opinion unless they present a very valid opinion that you agree with! Alot of people say they don't like a player and when you ask them why, they can't give you an answer besides "I just don't like him". Never try to please people because you can't please them all.

That's not too bad if we went FA in the DT route.

Thanks guys, my biggest issue is I like Christine Michael, I think hes been under used this year, but Bell intrigues me yet its rare to see a tall RB in the NFL.

Also I liked Jamie Collins who I think is a talented player, but Gooden is certainly better in coverage and he provides us with a much needed weapon against TE's who can also become a leader of this team. That and there is Knott who many believe is all skill and no athleticism, because of this hes left off most draft boards, and I think held be a good person to at least compete in training camp. Hes smart studies the film well and he pushes those around him to do better.

As for McCullers over Williams a big issue with McCullers is his weight, he has been known to vary and he has had it up fairly high. Having fluctuating weight can create problems at the next level.

If thats the case Dexter McCoil would probably be our best option

Overall a solid mock. However, if we are using Elway's line of thinking I don't think Ansah would be the first choice. Elway has shown to value a productive career, not saying that Ansah hasn't been but the previous two 1st picks have been very productive in multiple years. Now, we might fall in love with Ansah but he doesn't really fit the mold of an Elway player. Now dont get me wrong I wasn't originally an Ansah fan, but I'm starting to warm up to him.

Also if we are talking about mid-round receivers, then I'd like to throw in Marquess Wilson. An ultra productive WR, but he recently exited the program citing abuse. A nice guy to bring along with big play ability.

Seen him play regularly, I would rather have Marcus Davis or Chris Harper, yes his lengthiness makes him a nice deep ball threat but I do not like how he looks in short yards. Hes to stocky which causes him to get jammed fairly easily and he doesnt post up well when trying to block.

Though hes a lot like Junior Hemingway, whom I liked last year with his ability to make large leaps and adjust in mid-air, I rarely see him show usefulness on anything besides the jump ball

Bingo!!! The #1 thing that all "Mockers" should keep in mind, Elway values players that are highly productive AND that doesn't have questionable motor/effort. Julius Thomas is probably the only player we've drafted under Elway that didn't have the production, but his potential is massive. They could feel the same way about Ansah, but it's hard for me to believe that we would take a chance on him in the 1st rd.

                    • ClintLB8's First Mock Offseason (2013) - Detailed

                      Free Agency
DeAngelo Williams RB 5-9 215, Carolina Panthers – The Panthers can’t keep Williams, Stewart, and Tolbert. Williams will more than likely be cut and once he is, you know John Fox will immediately jump on the opportunity. Williams will be the Bronco’s big splash free agent signing if he becomes available.
Cary Williams CB 6-1 190, Baltimore Ravens – Has really come on strong this year and provided the Ravens with 4 interceptions and 1 sack to go along with 52 tackles thus far. I’m not sure how Williams will adjust to the Bronco’s defensive scheme but I know he is a big corner who has been making plays this season. Baltimore will probably have to let him walk.
Paul Kruger DE/OLB 6-4 265, Baltimore Ravens – Another Raven, Kruger has shown flashes of brilliance over the course of his career. He posted 5.5 sacks last year as a situational pass rusher and has posted 5 sacks this season so far after coming back from an injury. I personally feel Kruger fits a 4-3 defense a lot better than he does a 3-4. Would start and rotate with Hunt and allow the Broncos to move Derek Wolfe inside. Baltimore will have to let him go because of Suggs and the fact that Upshaw was taken so high last year and Albert McClellan provides depth.

                      Draft

                      ***Trade 1st round pick for a 2nd, 4th, and 5th round picks.

2nd round – Sheldon Richardson DT 6-4 300, Missouri – Richardson has really helped his draft stock this season and is considered a high second, late first round tweener. Has excellent speed and burst and will make a nice addition to the interior of the Bronco’s defense. Richardson got suspended for violating team rules about two weeks ago but that shouldn’t hurt his draft stock too much.
2nd round – Shayne Skov ILB 6-3 250, Stanford – This guy was well on his way to being a top 15 selection before a knee injury last year. Skov started the year slow due to him still trying to recover but has really showed out the last few games. Once he gets back to his old self, Skov could be the steal of the draft. I would love for the Broncos to plug him in between Von Miller and Wesley Woodyard.
3rd round – Bacarri Rambo S 6-0 210, Georgia – I know, first 3 rounds and no offensive players. Well, I could see the Broncos doing what the Patriots did last year. Rambo has been a ball hawk all season and might have worked his way up into the second round. That will depend heavily on if teams can overlook his off the field issues. Talent on the field is never in doubt. If he is there in the third, Broncos should jump on him.
4th round – Khaled Holmes C 6-3 305, USC – The Broncos need a huge upgrade at center and Holmes is considered the best in the draft. Most have him projected to go higher but centers tend to slide a little bit. I say the Broncos could get the top center in the draft with their first of two fourth round picks.
4th round – Denard Robinson WR 5-11 197, Michigan – There is no denying that this guy is electric. Robinson will definitely be moved to receiver at the next level but could also be an elite wildcat quarterback if necessary. Love this guy’s ability in the open field. He would make an excellent replacement for Stokley in the slot once Stokley retires.
5th round – Margus Hunt DE 6-7 280, SMU – This guy very well might shoot up the draft boards after what is projected to be an elite combine performance. There are concerns due to him being 26 years old and still extremely raw. I’ve seen Hunt mocked as high as the second round in a few places and if he developed then I could see the Broncos moving Derek Wolfe inside next to Sheldon Richardson. Hunt could end up being a Julius Peppers type of defender.
5th round – Josh Boyd DT 6-3 300, Mississippi State – The Broncos need to get younger at defensive tackle and add a lot of talent to the position. Boyd is a nice late round prospect who could end up being a surprise player like former Mississippi State teammate, Pernell McPhee, was a few years back when Baltimore got him in the 5th. The combination of Richardson, Boyd, Vickerson, and a sprinkle of Wolfe could immediately change the interior defensive line from a weakness to a strength for the Broncos.
6th round – Michael Dyer RB 5-9 215, Arkansas Baptist - This is another guy who was once considered a first round prospect before his off the field decisions led to him being dismissed from Auburn. I definitely see Dyer being this year’s Vontaze Burfict. He will fall in the draft and fall hard but will be worth it to the team that takes a chance on him. If DeAngelo Williams doesn’t turn out to be the #1 back in Denver, Dyer would be my second guess if the Broncos get him.
7th round – Jay Prosch FB 6-0 265, Auburn – Now, I know the Broncos don’t use a fullback much but I have the feeling Prosch would change that. I personally think he is the best fullback in college football and could end up being the best fullback in the NFL in the next few years. The question is whether or not Prosch will leave an out of control program early for the NFL. If he does, the Broncos should use a late rounder on him and even if he doesn’t play much, the thought of him paving the way in short yardages situations make a 7th round pick well worth it.

                      Free Agent Signings
Philip Lutzenkirchen TE 6-4 250, Auburn – Lutzenkirchen, for whatever reason, was only considered to be a late 4th round pick at best before his injury. I don’t understand why except for his lack of elite speed for the position. Lutzenkirchen reminds me so much of Dallas Clark it isn’t even funny. He has exceptional hands and adjustment ability while also being able to block effectively. Who wouldn’t want to see Peyton throwing to younger version of Dallas Clark again??

NT – Derek Wolfe, Josh Boyd*

MLB – Shayne Skov*, Joe Mays (potential cut), Steven Johnson
WLB – Wesley Woodyard, DJ Williams (potential cut), Danny Trevathan
CB1 – Champ Bailey, Tracy Porter, Omar Bolden
CB2 – Cary Williams*, Chris Harris, Tony Carter
SS - Bacarri Rambo*, Mike Adams, David Bruton
FS - Rahim Moore, Quinton Carter

                      **Bold* means new addition

                      Notes
                      - I see a couple of risks by going the direction I have said.
                      - 1) Three rookie starters on defense.
                      - I think Mike Adams or even Quinton Carter could start until Rambo learned the ropes and Joe Mays could be kept around to start until Skov learned the defense as well. I do believe Richardson will be thrown into the fire immediately and start right away with a heavy rotation of Kevin Vickerson.
                      - 2) Two new starters via free agency for a total of 5 potential new starters out of 11 right away.
                      - I do believe both Cary Williams and Paul Kruger will have the ability to adjust and be effective immediately. The main concerns I have is making sure Rambo and Skov don't get thrown in there too quickly, although with Skov going to Stanford, it obviously shows he is an intelligent kid.
                      - 3) Defensive tackle will look a lot different with a lot of new personnel.
                      - Derek Wolfe has played some DT this year but it will be a risk moving him permanently and starting a rookie next to him. Along with that, only 2 of the 5 listed on the depth chart have played full time defensive tackle in the NFL so far. Maybe they need to resign Bannan or sign another veteran defensive tackle in free agency.

***Go easy on me! I just got bored and decided to do this after some research! I did put a lot of time and effort into this so I just ask that it is constructive criticism.

                          • Nice job. Very detailed. DeAngelo Williams would be a good FA pickup, but he may ask for an expensive deal. I like the Richardson and Skov pick. Rambo is a good FS, but we need a SS like Phillip Thomas of Fresno State. I love the Holmes pick, but Walton has improved and Koppen will start of course. We simply can't have three centers (not including Blake). I can't say that Denard Robinson is a proven "slash" yet. I never really saw him line up at WR. I like Margus Hunt and if we could get him in the fifth round, then I'd be really happy. I don't know about Boyd, so I won't comment. I liked Dyer at Auburn and I saw a lot of promise and potential. If we draft him, I would be glad. Another Auburn player I liked was Philip Lutzenkirchen. He was Cam Newton's most reliable target.

                            • Too many headcases, this is the Denver Broncos not the Detroit Lions. But of course just my opinion. DeAngelo is all washed up. And trading out of the first is always fun but with new CBA too hard to predict compensation. I can agree with you position thought process but the players are meh. Even Denard isnt worth it when we have a similar player and there is an even better type of player similar to Denard out there in the draft. Good attempt though.

                              • Nice Job. I don't think we will get Williams in FA and I doubt as late as we are drafting that we will get a 2nd, 4th and 5th out of our 1st UNLESS the 2nd is real late also and then Richardson won't be there that late. I doubt if he makes it into the 2nd round unless he looks terrible at the combines.
Malik Jackson will beat out Hunt for the backup DE position. Hunt is hugh and athletic but not that good of football player, IMO Also Wolfe is not going to put on enough weight to be a NT
Rambo is over rated IMO but may show a lot at the combines also.
I also don't think our FO will draft that many head cases either.
You sure put in a lot of work into this draft.
