- Oregon offensive lineman Kyle Long has been denied another year of eligibility and will be in the draft.

Strange seeing him come out, I went to school with him last year. I knew he was recruited to Alabama and didn't play but I didn't think he'd declare after his first year starting at Tennessee. He's a pretty good pass rusher as a 3-4 DE and Nick Saban really wanted him at Alabama but he struggled maintaining his grades.

With his lack of length I'd like to see him play the 3 tech, that's where I would project his true upside.

The only reason I wouldn't want him playing the 3 tech is because the team that gets him will most likely want him to get up to 300 lbs. and that'll slow him down. And at 290 I don't think he'd ever be a full time player unless he's playing LE in a 3-4 defense.

10 pounds shouldn't be too bad, Vickerson put on like 40+ in one season. If its good weight, I wouldn't be worried.
