If you watch the footage, and the replay and listened to the announcers it was pretty clear, Ramirez kicked into help Koppen, by the time he went in our C had taken the NT out of the play. Franklin had a guy he forced to swing deep right while the DT slid out and around behind Ramirez going untouched. It was Ramirez's guy. We had to hits from outside players tonight but they came after the ball was thrown. Ramirez was the cause of every other back field mistake

i.e. YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT

When Kuper has started weve allowed 2 sacks in 5 games

When Ramirez has started weve allowed 17 sacks in 8 games

I think we need a category for this unintelligent, addled, backward, besotted, boring, brainless, daffy, daft, dense, dim, dim-witted, doltish, dumb, feeble-minded, half-baked, ignorant, indolent, insensate, low, moronic, not bright, numskulled, obtuse, scatterbrained, shallow, simple, simple-minded, slow, sluggish, stolid, stupid, tedious, thick, unintellectual, vacuous, wearisome, witless articles.

I say we pair this and the "Manning fell into the Broncos laps" one.

I put the unfortunate OL play solely on backup OG M. Ramirez.

At this point I really hope we draft Alabama OL Barrett Jones.

According to Walter Football he is a round 1 to 3 prospect.

Maybe we can do a similar trade like last year and select
two players in the second round:

                  my wish:

                  R2 a: OL Barret Jones
                  R2 b: DT

After last night, I think we found a weak spot in our game, offensive line depth. And Franklin was not the issue, if he is an issue, its a GOOD issue. Ramirez is struggling big-time. I don't mean to rag on him, but he is just overmatched. I am nervous about him playing Ngata next week.

IMO, offensive lineman may be our top need in the draft, but that doesn't mean we reach for anyone. I am not sure what to think of Jones yet, love his versatility but he was overmatched vs Georgia early, but then turned it around. So props to him for making adjustments against Jenkins, a probable 1st rounder this year. I know we have Kuper and hopefully this is just a streak of bad luck, but we need depth. Kind of like the idea of G Warford from Kentucky in the 2nd round. I like Austin or a safety by names of Vaccaro or Elam in the 1st.

If Kuper plays, this thread doesn't happen. Franklin kept having to pick up Ramirez's slack.

As did Koppen, the more I watch him the more I think we need to draft a backup G, or maybe even a replacement for Kuper.

I hate replacing the lines captain but we could draft Larry Warford and move Beadles to the weakside (the only reason we havent with Ramirez was because we tried and he caused to many problems for Clady.).

Or we can draft a backup, personally I like Travis Bond

With our team in the mix for a playoff run, with a win thursday taking over the 2nd bye, this thread makes no sense whatsoever. We won the game, and our running game was very efficient,i'm not sure what you were watching bro.

Dang, some of you guys are mean! Haha.

In all seriousness though, I think Ramirez is more to blame than Franklin. While the latter has had some issues with pass protection in the past, I think he has improved leaps and bounds since we drafted him and could very well be the long term answer at RT. So no, I do not agree that he is a bum.
