  • Johnny Football

Congrats to my favorite player in College Football. Johnny Manziel is a pleasure to watch. He will be ready for the NFL just as Peyton will most likely be retiring, so to me it would be a perfect transition here.

I highly doubt we would be in a position to pick him

The Broncos hopefully won't be a bad enough team to get Manziel who will be going #1 in all likelihood. And I doubt Elway looks for another option at QB before giving Osweiler a fair shot.

Sorry, but Denver has no chance at Manziel unless Elway wants to trade two full drafts to move up.

The Heisman needs to be changed to offensive player of the year cause Manti Te'o was the best player in college football.

When and if Manziel comes out he will go between the sixth round and undrafted and zero BCS championships!

Not in the Heisman voters opinion. What Johnny Manziel did as a freshman was absolutely unbelievable.

What Te'o did happens every single year, he just happened to be on a good defense on an undefeated team. If Te'o played for Wisconsin nobody would be talking about him as a Heisman finalist.

But back on topic, Broncos fans need to realize that Osweiler is our future, that kid is going to be good.

Like I said its an offensive award, even when Woodson won it , it had a lot to do with his returning abilities. There is an obvious bias against defensive players when it comes to the Heisman.

I hear there is an 11 year old girl tearing up football right now. We should groom her and wait for her instead!

I will bet anyone that when Johnny Football comes out he will not be the first qb taken in his draft class. The heisman does not mean you will be a great pro prospect. He had a good year but he is a still a huge project in terms of playing professional football, not to mention we took OS in the the 2nd round next year and Elway is high on him. Manti Teo should have won the Heisman imo. Tied for the nation lead in INT's and made a big play in every close game they played this season. Johnny football was great against Bama but very sub par against Florida and LSU which nobody seems to remember or want to talk about.
Backing Moreno, Ayers, and Smith for 09.
                Supporting this staff!
Yes, I know my name is outdated, too lazy to care though hah = )

You mean losing your team 2 games deserves a Heisman?

Te'o led the country in getting TOs, and was second in the country in INTs. Te'o was the reason that team was undefeated.

No but beating Newton and Tebow (two previous winners) Total Offense record in the SEC as a Freshman does.

Not when Cams single season total yards were broken. Also, A&M's D was what caused those losses, you might have seen that if you watched anyone besides ND all year.

Yet as ive told you 1,000,0000,0000,000 times Defensive guys dont win the Heisman, maybe if he was a RB and LB then yes. CB's have won it because they have also been big in the return game. Its been an unofficially the best offensive player since the beginning of its creation, he was never going to win it.

Tebow had 55 TDs to Manziel's 43 is what separates the two.

Darn you missed my thread in Smack when I joked about the same thing, I said the Raiders should draft her now sheld be instantly their best player. Though that little girl (Sam Gordon) is technically 9.

In 2 or if he is smart 3 years (less likely to fail) we may have already given Brock a shot and did not like what we saw, and who knows where he will be. Though judging by Elways decision to go with Brock, a 6'1 out of the pocket passer is not someone he thinks is our future at QB, despite how skilled he is or might become.

So nobody who scores less than 55 touchdowns deserves the Heisman?

No not Manziel's 3 INTs against LSU or his 70 tot yds in the second half against Florida. It wad all the defense, maybe you should get off Manziel's jock.

And that is precisely the reason the Heisman is stupid, and isnt to the best player, but most exciting guy with a nickname on offense.
