And I never said Tannehill was better, I said I think he would have been taken ahead of Smith because of Miami's relationship with him, as their OC was Tannehill's college HC. This year, I think Geno would go ahead of Tannehill, last year, Tannehill goes first no doubt in my mind.

And for the record, Kiper has Geno as the 23rd ranked prospect, supporting my claim that he will go in the top 15 only due to the demand for quarterbacks as well as lack of them.
Yea, I'm just going to agree to disagree. I just see Geno as a better prospect. I didn't like Weeden much as a prospect and still don't think he is all that much better than Colt McCoy. Not to say I think Geno Smith is an elite prospect but if he goes in the top 15 it is warranted. Top 5? I don't know so much about that. I also think Weeden went higher than he should have, same with Tannenhill.

Also, Kiper is not the standard in projections. If you are going to bring up Case Keenum I should bring up Jemarcus Russell who Kiper said would be the next John Elway. Kiper made a comment a month ago how McShay probably has more of an inside track than him on projections because he supposedly has burned a lot of bridges. One of those bridges may have been him getting intel that the Broncos were targeting Derek Wolfe who many had projected in the 3rd, even himself, prior to the draft. Two weeks before the draft he shot up Kipers board to us at the end of the 1st round. We took him in the high 2nd, and he was apparentally Baltimore's original target prior to Courtney Upshaw's drop

Players hit back in the bigs.

Just because he hasn't had a problem at Georgia doesn't mean he won't have a problem in the future. There's an extensive list of NFL players with his problem... Every single one of them had their career shortened.

Players hit back in college as well. From top to bottom, guys who durable in college are often durable in the pros. Same holds true for guys with injury riddled careers in college. Not always the case but more often than not. Manning was a reciever taking blind side hits in an era of much more violent times in football.

What about Marcus McNeil and Chris Samuels? Nick Collins?

          It's a career ender, it's not if it's when.

I actually must apologize for misspeaking, I thought it was Kiper, but Kiper had him at 25. McShay had him at 23. Sorry for drawing a response on my misinformation.

Well he is not elite when you put him against other talent but as it is every year QB's go way earlier than they should. One of the few times they went when they should was RGIII and Luck last year but the rest were over drafted...except Russell Wilson.

That is a post that I can agree with 100%, which is why I say Geno will go higher than he should, just because he's one of two first round worthy quarterbacks in this draft.

agreed. None of the QBs coming out this year are worth the #1 overall pick.

I liked Geno Smith, hes probably the only QB in this draft Ild say is worth drafting

Though None have Wilsons 3rd down capability (Closest MJ McPeek)
None have Wilsons 4th Quarter capability (closest Collin Klein)
None have the experience of taking apart top ranked opponents like RG3 (closest Ryan Nassib)

KC needs a QB pretty badly. Even a rookie they can develop would be better than nothing. Brady Quinn has played better than I thought he would. Maybe he can hold down the fort for a while.
