We pick up the 5th pick in the 2nd round, along with a 3rd rounder. then trade OUR 2nd and 3rd to move up in the draft, to pick another early 2nd rounder. trade our 5th (next year) 6th and 7th this year for an early 5th rounder

2.a) Kevin Minter- MLB- LSU- will solidify the holes in our defense, is a good coverage linebacker, and run stopper, he is well-rounded LB, and he has the potential to have the impact on our defense that Al Wilson had.
I like MLB here or OL here, either way I would be happy here. Although I would really like S Elam but we would have to stay in the first round.

2.b) David Amerson-CB-NC state- due to his size, and strength we convert him to SS and pair him up with Rahim "The Dream" Moore, and this will solidify our safety postion because as of this year Rahim really stepped up his game compared to last year, a totally different player, but will improve with experience and confidence. Amerson before this season was considered to be the top corner and possibly a top 10 pick, but he still has the upside, and talents that made people believe for him to be a top 10 pick. we get a steal here.
You have one of my favorite players here. Great pick!

3.)Stedman Bailey-WR-WVU- A lot of people believe Tavon Austin will be the better of the two recievers,as he had more production, but Bailey is no slouch either, and he is also bigger, and stronger, and he will solidify our elite group of recievers.
I could not agree with you more. WR T. Austin is a beast but I would rather have his teammate WR. S. Bailey. Great pick! Although I doubt he lasts until the end of the third round. We might have to move up. I guess we will see.

4.) Daniel McCullers-DT-Tennessee- An absolute monster in terms of size and strength, and he is alos deceptively quick, for a man his size, at least. He has great potential to become a great player, and we pluck him out of the draft in the 4th
Yes, we need some to replace DT J. Bannon and I think DT McCullers can be that guy.

5.) Marcus Lattimore- RB- USCC- Obviously everyone knows how talented this kid really is, although injuries plagued his college career, and it may have been the worst news of his young career as of right now, but this is also the best news to whomever takes him in the draft,as they will get a steal. I believe he will overcome the injury and play at an elite level. To be honest his injuries weren't because he is injury prone, it was just freak accidents and unfortunately for him the defenders, both times, hit him in the perfect place to take him out. Again im a huge Knowshon fan, and i still believe he is the best back on our team right now, I honestly dont believe Hillman will turn out to be a gamechanger at all, but i could be wrong (hopefully). With all that being said I say we pair up Knowshon and ease Marcus into the game until he is fully recovered.

Some might say this is to high for him but I think this is PERFECT! Willis can hold the fort down for one more year and then the following year we can unleash RB Lattimore. Great Pick!

My comments in bold. Overall I would rate this draft: 9.5 out of 10. This is one of the best, if not the best mock I have seen on here. Great job.

Definitely a good draft. Only thing I wonder is if those guys will actually be available where you have them. I have seen both 2nd round pick guys even on this board going to the Broncos in the first round. Also seen Stedman Bailey clear up in the 2nd in some mock drafts around the internet so to think he will last to the end of the 3rd round is asking a lot. At the same time nobody knows how things will shake out at this time of actual round players will be picked so who knows. I do think though somebody will take a chance on Lattimore either end of the 3rd or somewhere in the 4th. IF he makes it to us in the 5th I will be screaming at the tv for the Broncos to run up to that podium with his name on the card.

        Kansas Bob's 2nd Mock draft

I know that many of us want a DT or MLB in the first round. I do too but by the time we draft, the first 5 or 6 DT's will be gone and Manti Te's will probably be a Raven (I look for the Ravens to sell the ranch to trade up to get him). So I decided to give Manning a little offensive help in the first round.
#1 Eddie Lacy RB alabama : I don't really consider Lacy a first rounder but by the time we draft in the second round he will be gone. I hope we can trade out of the first round but need a trade pardner.
#2 Arthur Brown LB Kansas State: Brown plays MLB in college but I think he can play in Denver's defense where the LB's fly around everywhere. If he isn't available Nico Johnson MLB Alabama would be the selection.
#3 Brandon Williams DT Missouri Southern State: At 6'3" 328 He will be good backup that will someday be a pro-bowl selection (IMO) Lots of talent that needs developing.
#4 Xavier Nixon OT Florida: Nixon has the talent a high round draft choice but hasn't developed as well as expected but I think he will with Denver's OL coaches.
#5 Marcus Davis WR Virginia Tech: Tall, athletic and very fast. With this guys size/speed he ought to be a top 50 choice but never quite measured up. If he should be gone by the time we draft in this round, Corey Fuller his running mate at VT is also a possibility here.
#6 I believe we trade this choice away already.
#7 Rex Bunkhead RB Nebraska: Denver knows that Moreno is good but injury prone and McGehee is coming of IR and getting older. If Bunkhead can stay healthy he can help. Also a SS would be a good fit here. If Alonzo Tweedy looks good at the combines he may be a good pickup here also.
This is my new mock draft, enjoy.

We could trade out of the tail end of the first for maybe a top 10 selection in the 2nd to make the Eddie Lacy thing happen. That's still a reach but it won't be as bad.. I love Arthur Brown and think he is a great choice. Brandon Williams is better suited for a 3-4 but I would not be upset. Love the rest of it but Rex Burkhead will be taken in the 4th.. 5th round at the latest.

Lacy has talent, but the holes he gets are pretty big. I also don't love him as a receiver which could hurt him in this offense where RB's are asked to run, catch, and block. Also with Moreno and Mcgahee signed next year RB is not a round 1 or even 2 need.

Brown is too small to play MLB in the base defense which is where Brooking currently plays. He could play it in the nickel, but we already have good nickel LB's.

Really like Brandon Williams and am curious to watch his stock, but in the 3rd round that's a great upside pick. The rest is solid too.

              1) Eddie Lacy is a beast
              2) Arthur Brown ... Can't say i watch K state but Oregon ate them for beakfeast and still had room for brunch
              3) Brandon Williams... He's been in on my earlier mocks....enough said...lol
              4) Xavior Nixon... If Ricky Wagoner is still availble he is my choice also look for small school prospect Mark Jackson OT Glenville State
              5) Marcus Davis... IF we go WR and if still available like many big boards say my money is on Aaron Mellette from Elron
              7) BPA

I like the positions though he disagree on individuals... good job

stedman bailey would last to the late 2nd and early third, which is why, in one of my trades we traded OUR 2nd and OUR 3rd not the early 3rd we picked up from the 1st trade I had, but thank you for the comment

Maybe Te'o falls to us at 32? Lol jk but i feel this isnt a flashy draft for us yet a solid draft that addresses our needs now. Id like MLB and Receiver one and two for us. Maybe even a tightend like the one in Notre Dame? Not sure of his draft ranking but i feel adding non system tightend "looking at Tamme" i think our O would be almost unstoppable..kinda hard to believe that our O could get any better lol. Im hoping for Lattimore though! Id love that pick.

                    Off topic but..

Player i like Non Bronco related due to Osweiler is Fales from San Jo State. Dude is going to be good next season. Whats everyone elses thoughts on him? Just curious to know.

Eddie Lacy and Knowshon Moreno complementing each other would give Defenses nightmares.

I still wouldn't take him in the first two rounds. If he's gone by then oh well, I just don't like drafting RB's early anymore.

A lot of good ideas and suggestions given here. I just feel that we need to giving Manning more weapons without avoiding the defense completely. I am hoping that we draft at #32 and can trade about 10 or 15 spots down from there and pick up a extra draft choice or two.
In this draft the top "can't miss" players will be gone mighty quick and there isn't much difference in quality in the player selected #25 and the player selected #70, IMO so trading down sounds like a good idea to me.
I love Moreno when he is healthy but I think we need better backup for the position than we have right now. McGehee may come back and he may not but he will for sure be a year older. Hester looks like a good blocking back but may be a little slow. IMO Hillman has shown very little this year. Maybe with another camp under his belt, he may.
A TE like Eifert, Kelce or Ertz would also be a valueable tool for Manning's offense.

All good players. Lacy, Brown, Nixon and "Bunkhead" are all NFL-caliber. I haven't studied the others, but I have read good things about the guy from Missouri Southern and anybody from Virginia Tech is going to be talented.

I just think our number-one need is a guard. Barrett Jones is the best prospect because of his versatility.

I also think we probably need help on defense but not at linebacker, as much as I like Brown. D-line and safety appear to be where we need to upgrade, but it's difficult to tell since we haven't faced very good teams recently. The Ravens may give us a good fight tomorrow, but they are still an offense-challenged team. If we face Houston or New England, we will find out what our defensive needs are.

Why is everyone so high on Lattimore. He's torn up both of his knees in the last two years and he likely won't be ready for the seson, much less training camp. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes UDFA. He was a great RB, but with this 2nd injury I doubt he will be anything more than a 3rd down back.

He was never really a fast RB to begin with though so the injuries shouldn't effect his playing style a whole lot. And even if he can't play next year, that isn't necessarily a bad thing because we still have McGahee, Moreno, and Hillman. When he is finally healthy enough to play, 1 or 2 of them may very well not be on the team anymore. Someone will draft him, I wouldn't think about it until the 5th round, but I can see a team drafting him before that hoping he can be that special player he was his freshman year. Also Lattimore is young, young people heal faster and don't lose as much from the injury as an older person. Plus Adrian Peterson's huge year will make it easier to have faith in drafting him.
