Pretty sure he was a free agent his deal expired... but i would take freeney depending on $. Collie would be a good buy-low option.

Yes, he was told he would not be re-signed. Therefore, released for good. Done with the Colts.

Could see us players on both, however I'm tentative on Freeney, I would rather take a guy like Brandon Jenkins in the draft, but I wouldn't be upset if we get Freeney on a reasonable deal.

Both were free agents. Both were told they wouldn't return.

Freeney is nothing but a name and some wet 2004 fantasy.

Freeney is not worth the money at this point. Also, he's only played at RDE and ROLB. We have Dum.

I'd give Collie a shot if he's cleared medically ...Freeney for the right price as well

If he's willing to take a pay cut to play here I would love to see a Miller, Dumervil, Wolfe, & Freeney combo out there in pass rushing situations.

I agree. This wouldn't be wise for them

Broncos' John Elway:"The draft this year is not top heavy."

Broncos' John Elway:"The draft this year is not top heavy so we feel like we can get as good a player at No. 28 as

"we could at 10. It's not like last year with (Andrew) Luck and RG III. The year before with Von (Miller) and (Marcell) Dareus and A.J. Green and Patrick Peterson — loaded top end. This is probably a deeper draft, but not nearly as many top impact guys. That first pick, it can shift six different times before we get to the draft."

Gotta love Klis... he is just so good with inside info.

Anyways, I found this interesting to say the least. Discuss.

I was just actually thinking about this today. It doesnt have any really impact blue chip players like last year. But fromrounds 2 to 4 I think there is more talent.

I think this means that our chances of trading up for a player are slim and the Broncos are more likely to trade back, or stay pat, than move up to get someone. If they don't see a bunch of top impact players but a deep draft, then it makes more sense to load up on good players if the opportunity presents itself, as opposed to trading up for a guy that they don't see as a top impact performer.

I expect that Elway and the rest of the front office will trade the first pick for a high second and another pick.
