With O.Franklin having toe surgery, the only healthy first-team OL right now is Zane Beadles. Means lots of OTA work for guys like P.Blake.

Eric Fisher, OT from Central Michigan, says he's talked to "close to all" of the teams.

Also an article on DB.com about Quinton Carter's recovery, which is going well.

Why not talk to him? I'm not saying we should trade away our draft to get him, but we may as well talk to him. You never know what happens between now and then, and the FO should be open to all possibilities.

I just don't realistically see him ever reaching us. I would rather talk to DJ Fluker if thats the case. Do you think they will talk to Luke Joekel to?

If we moved Franklin inside to guard it would be because of his pass protection concerns. DJ Fluker is absolutely horrid in pass protection and could potentially make the move to guard in the pro's. He didn't have the foot speed in college, why would he fair any better in the pros at allowing pressure? No thanks. It makes absolutely no sense. Move a guy inside to guard because of his poor pass protection on the edge but then go get a guy that is marginally worse when Franklin has done nothing but improve his pass protection every season?

Franklin was better in pass pro, but still got beat a lot by speed rushers. He's got a RT body style too.

I guarantee you that they talk with him....Maybe not for draft day. But if teams are smart they use this time to get an idea about a person for them to use when they hit FA in 4 or 5 years

hmm... His comments about Hillman are exactly what I've said on these boards. I guess I do know a thing or two that I'm talking about every now and then.

I do not see the Broncos taking a RT with all the other needs. If they do, they should get sack-punched!

With them also saying that this draft is very deep, overall, I think it means that there's a greater chance that they'll draft for need at least early.

I still don't think they'll reach for a player though and will take a RT if he's the best player on their board. The offensive line could use some help and depth at the very least. You have got to protect Manning.

Teams also talk to guys to get a feel for him, that way if he ever becomes available by trade or FA they already have some history and notes on the guy. It's just a small piece of the puzzle.

It never hurts to just talk to a guy.
