I haven't a clue what the going rate would be but Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com states, "A two-year deal worth about $9 million might be the best offer Jackson can get."

I'd be willing to go for that.

I really hope this is the case, he should have been a Bronco since 2004 when we drafted DJ ahead of him...

He just opted out of 7M perhaps it was primarily to sign on with a contender, but you have to think he's looking for at least close to that. If so I definitely pass, that's too much for a RB.

Or if we're going to spend a lot on a RB I'd go for Bradshaw over Jackson.

Can't say I'm mad about the pick all in all DJ has been a staple of the D for all but one season, through thick and thin.

I don't know if I would, Bradshaw is always hurt, and Jackson is a dang workhorse running back if there is one.

Oh of course DJ is a stud but imagine the what might have been if SJax was running the ball in Shannys system with Plummer and Cutler oh what might have been haha but I know coulda shoulda woulda, theres no point to it.

Atleast now we have a chance to get him here with Peyton Manning!!!

We are not braking the bank for this guy. We might end up w SG. prob is a good prob. The more things heat up the less I see WM here. Although I really like him Tough back.

                  Mark J. Rebilas-USA Today Sports

The Denver Broncos have some planning to do as they settle into the waiting period right before free agency begins in a couple weeks. As a team that went 13-3 in 2012, there really is not too many holes to be filled, but executive VP John Elway, head coach John Fox and the rest of his staff have a couple of tough decisions to make with current players. The biggest one in many eyes is whether or not RB Willis McGahee is the answer in 2013.

This is where RB Steven Jackson comes into the talks.

Not sure what the price would/could be but a lot depends who gets cut.
