Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

At this point any one in the 1st round is going to be adding to an already potent squad. The way this off season is already shaping up (only 2nd day into Free Agency) our Bronco's are going to be unstoppable! I could see us going to Teo, but I don't think we should move up to get him. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see us trade down again, we only have 6 picks. Absolutely the last thing I want us to do, but could happen. Let's keep adding to the arsenal boys, hell of a job so far!
I said in another thread a few weeks ago that this Te'o Broncos love affair feels like the Ozweiler Broncos last year. But I really think that we will draft a OC in the 1st rd. I think we stick with the "Massive Movement" and draft OC Travis Frederick from Wisconsin. I'm not sure what our Cap will look like next year, but if we're going to really be against it, I just don't see us re-signing J.D.
Why is everyone assuming we will draft a LB high? Just because YOU think it's a need, it doesn't mean the FO does. Elway has said in the Denver Post that the Broncos like Irving and Johnson and they will compete for the job.
Keep Teo and his girlfriend as far away from Denver as possible
Slow, weak, can't compete against real competition (see NC game and that's nothing to what he'll see in the nfl)
Dude is gonna bust big time
Everyone keeps bringing up the national championship as a reason we shouldn't draft Te'o, but when Minter and Ogletree played Alabama they didn't do much better than Te'o did yet everyone still clamors over them.
My foregone conclusion is trading back and picking up mid-round picks. They have made great signings for their positions of need, they will be looking for good value and since DT and Oline are supposed to be deep in this draft and those are positions you can't have too many bodies, picking up more picks makes sense.
Te'o is the choice? When the Broncos are in the nickel 60% of the time, we are going to spend a #1 on a MLB? Forget it that we saw in the Combine that Te'o is an average athlete. And forget that we saw how being "average" translates at the highest level of play, as we did in the Alabama game. The real question is, "does Elway see Te'o as being an above average "football player", that makes up for his average athletic ability, who would be worth the "drama" that this team eliminated exactly a year ago?" For me, that's the question. It's certainly not out of the realm of possibility that Elway considers Te'o to be that guy. Personally, I would just be very surprised.
In fact, I don't think so. So, who will it be? It will be an "impact" pick. It will probably be a person at a "skill" position, or a person who is so superior an athlete at their position that there is no way to not pick that person. What was the 1st position addressed in FA? The OL. So, for instance, if a really good offensive lineman drops to us, I'd say that's where we go. Then it's CB. Then it's a receiver.
It might be Te'o. But I'm thinking Eddie Lacy. The Broncos want a big, physical back. It's easy to say Le'Veon Bell in the 3rd round, but I think Lacy in the first may be the choice considering that the Broncos haven't done anything in FA yet about the RB spot (I know it is too early to say).
