I just wish he was guaranteed money by the ravens, because this means they lose nothing for signing this idiot

I know there was a thread about him a while back but i don't feel like looking for it.. but he's comin back and the Ravens still have his rights.. If they don't keep him what do you guys think? I would like it because he's only 24 which is crazy to me how young he still is. And he's a monster at middle backer position which we need. Hopefully he got his off field issues resolved and can come back.

I don't know why the Ravens would not bring him back. I'd sign him cheap. No guaranteed money. Elway aimed really low signing guys like Keith Brooking, Stewart Bradley and Paris Lenon to play MLB, so why wouldn't we take a chance on a young 1st-round talent for a minimum contract? The high-character speech flew out the window anyway with guys like Von Miller.

I'd absolutely take a chance with him.. he seems much more motivated to do it right this time. When he first got into the league, he was begging for a playbook before the lockout and was super motivated but as his mental state got worse, he stopped caring about everything. His mind seems like it's in the right place, and if he is motivated to prove doubters wrong and wants to WORK, then he could develop into that guy. His coverage was rocky, but he never developed it because he wasn't in a state of mind to want to develop. He ran a 4.68 which isn't bad at all, he could develop. He would be a great MLB in our defense, even though I believe he is better suited for the 3-4.

Yup, how was Baltimore hurt in any way last year from this signing? They weren't and that's when he was still not in a good place. If we are going to bring 35+ year old LBs in to be run stoppers, why not bring in a young guy in McClain for that first and if he stays a knucklehead, cut him and THEN go for the 35+ year old. We could sign him and then if Mosley fell to us or we got Borland or something we could easily cut him. Why not?
