Thx for promoting the CFL! Being a canuck, I am a proud fan. And yes, there are some real quality players here. There have always been, and many have gone on to play in the NFL......some at a very high level......ie. Warren Moon.

I guess I'm lucky, being a fan of both the CFL and NFL. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Denver Broncos have been very good to me!!!

I've watched a couple games recently and I was pleasantly surprised at the high level of play and overall entertainment it offered!

Not the NFL or college football, but they have a good thing going up there!

Ryan Katz

Is there any news on this kid. I watched him throughout his college career starting in Oregon State and ending in San Diego State and I really liked him. His playing style reminds me of a young Jake Plummer and I was just curious if anybody else here is intrigued?

This is from the Broncos site recently -

Dysert, the team’s seventh-round pick in the 2013 draft, and Katz, who signed with the Broncos this spring as an undrafted free agent, impressed Head Coach John Fox with their mental readiness and composure during their initial stints with the team.

“Both these guys (Katz and Dysert) are real smart, real sharp guys,” Fox said during rookie minicamp in May. “They’ll get brought up to speed pretty quick between (Osweiler) and (Manning). But I think they’ll hold their own. They’re sharp guys and very impressive.”

Will be hard for Katz to get reps in TC and playing time in pre-season. I think we carry 3 QB's on the final 53.... Manning, Os and Dysert.

Katz could make the PS but will have to really impress.

Thanks for the update Bronx. To me Katz has all the tools you look for in a QB and hope he can stick around, if not somebody will get a real hidden gem.

It's Katz versus Dysert for that last spot.

Dysert probably has a slight edge just because of the fact he was drafted but if Katz performs, I could see him grabbing that #3 spot.

To get on the PS all he has to do is be the #4 QB. I'm sure if he plays decently with flashes he'll get a spot.

Imo too much talent on this team looking for roster spots. I don't think we carry 3 qbs on it. I think we carry 2 Manning, with Oz on the sideline (hopefully staying there unless its mop up time). I think the other 2 are competing for a PS spot. We will see.

I saw katz. He reminded me of tebow. Just a big solid looking tank kind of guy. He was no where near as good as dysert though, and dysert was no where near as good as brock.

It was one day, the first day, jitters and all, but katz was pretty unnoticeable.
