no it has nothing to do with Von's ability

It has to do with risk management

Von is almost kicked out of the NFL ............ I don't agree with the rules that have him in this position ...... not saying it's not Von's fault

    Risk Management.
The beatings will continue until morale improves....

Anybody saying Watt does only one thing well....perhaps you haven't seen a lot of his tape? Aldon Smith does really only one thing well. Watt is an absolute beast. He is great against the run, is an amazing pass rusher, and swats more balls than anyone, even DBs. He's always in the backfield making a play.

No I wouldn't. Not at all. Wouldn't even consider it.
          So far:
          FA- Melvin Gordon. Brandon Scherff
          1. Kenneth Murray LB; 2. Shenault WR; 2B. Biadazz Center, 3. OT

I just meant that he is going to the backfield every play. His only job is pressure and if it's a run play obviously he's there. His timing is impeccable on his jumps which is something that is more feel than anything and is something that can't be taught. Von plays from sam, drops to DE, and really can do anything on D that you'd ask of him (besides stay out of trouble >.>). He could've probably played safety if he wanted to.

No way, I would be livid if we made this trade.

LB is the most important position on a D IMO and Von is arguably the best in the league.

As someone stated he not only rushes the passer but is a beast against the run and has the speed to run with pretty much anyone in coverage.

Watt is a very good DE, but I would take a stud LB every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Watt is currently the best defensive player in the league (should have been unanimous DPOY last season) and does not need a babysitter to take care of him. Houston would just laugh and hang up the phone.

Watt had a very good season last year but calling him the best player on D is a little premature.

He is tied 10th in sacks and 68th in tackles.

When Von is back in week 7 I think people will remember what he brings.

Per PFF, Watt is having a better year than last year.

If Von was as clean as Watt, it's not as close, but take that into account, gotta go Watt.

Idk what they base it on since he's well off his pace for sacks and tackles. Pressures I suppose. But yeah I guess you have to take the clean guy if it's an option. I just don't value the best lineman in the game over the best linebacker in the game I guess.

Why would Houston consider this trade? They have a better player who has no risk of suspension. This is a silly thread. It would be like someone on the Raiders boards (assuming they could read and write) posting about a discussion in consideration of trading Pryor for Manning.

It's more about sacks, disruptions, TFL, batted balls, among other things.

                              But I do miss Von....

Really? You're delusional... Comparing Miller's talent to a player like Pryor

Not a chance. Von is every bit as good if not better than Watt. Imagine when he finally learns how to take responsibility and apply it to his craft. Scary.
