Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Players only reduce there salaries if they believe we are close to doing something and its necessary or more likely when they get it restructured better in their favor
In all honesty I am not confident enough in Green yet to cut both TE's and both Green and Thomas have a history of injury which makes that idea a bit nerve racking.
Not talking reducing, flat out cutting them, how much would we save.
Only ones I'd ask to restructure are Champ and Manning which I'm sure they would if we could keep some in house talent and maybe add another piece or two.
Green is a pretty good blocker, and Julius is emerging well.
I'm not sure we cut both but not sure we can keep some key guys with both still on the roster.
I can understand cutting Tamme, but why Dreesen? If Julius went down, we'd be really down at TE.
Tough call Dreessen has better hands but Tamme is more versatile and slightly smarter with his movements and outsmarting defenders (but not by much). Though Dreessen is slightly cheaper, I think Tammes versatility makes him a better backup, though if someone is cheaper on the market ild gladly grab them

To be honest I don't know if he is that valuble. green is more athletic, run blocks better and catches the ball just as good. Dressen won't be on the team next year
True and Woodyard is great on the weakside if he ever needs to be. Though Miller has not shown Phillips ability to play with his hand in the dirt as much, hes not a true Leo but I think he was coming a long last year
you blitz von from ever where. you need to be creative with his talent. he is not a true leo. but he also has the help of wolf taking on the guard and a mis match for most guards.

Tamme pretty much plays the same spot as Julius. And GRob could replace him at the league minimum.
Regards to Dres, we could just draft someone or bring him back on a cheaper deal, league minimum, etc.
Have to think roster spots may be at a premium too. Elway and co have done such a tremendous job of developing talent. 3 QB, 4 RB, 4 WR, 3 TE, 7 OL look to be on the team already for next year...that leaves spots open for 1 WR, 1 TE, 2 OL (for 25 on O)
On Defense 4 DT, 2 DE, 4 LB, 4 CB, 3 S (assuming Harris and DRC brought back) that leaves spots open for 2 DE, 1 LB, 2 CB, 1 S (for 25 on D).
So we are talking about a total of 10 roster spots and I have not even counted DE Quanterus Smith, LB Steven Johnson, LB Lerentee McCray, S Omar Bolden, or S Quinton Carter..chances are those guys fill 4 or 5 of the open spots on defense.
Agree Dreesen should take a pay cut to about 1M and be the 3rd TE with Robinson #4. Think we might draft a guy late too and PS him.
Will be a very different offseason for us, just do not see us signing many if any FAs...comps picks in 2015 Been a while since we had those.

We can get a guy like Nehemiah Hicks fairly low if not as an UDFA. Hes got a fairly nice size and very good speed, hes a bit developmental but he could be good to get for a cheap price.
If we can manage to keep this team together by signing most of our UFAs, I think we may be aggressive in next years draft as far as trading up.
Seems logical.
Curious to see if we shop Osweiler or Ball...two 2nd round picks that may be looking up the depth chart longer than expected. Manning looks like he has a couple years left, at which point Brock is a FA. With Moreno's resurgence and CJ Anderson impressing in camp...

I think if we were to win, and Manning decides to go for two, he would stay. Outside of that, I think Decker is the only real key player on the bubble. I would love to see Moreno get an extension but it looks rather unlikely. I'm willing to give them time to develop but I'm not stoked to go into the Oz era with just Ronnie and Montee. He's been the ultimate team player so far, so there's always the chance he'd do a reasonable deal. I don't really feel that Phillips, Walton, or Carter are critical must-signs. Phillips possibly, but it depends on the off-season that Q Smith has for me.
Also interested to see what lerentee mccray does next year also.I would think between q and cray we should get at least 1 good pass rusher maybe two.It just means we can focus our draft elsewhere.
