They also paid a decent amount of money to bring in John Carlson last year, he's had 15 catches in 21 games for Minnesota.

The fact they brought him in only makes me think they want two capable TEs. They restructured Carlson's deal this off-season after he's completely flopped.

Means it would only be a smart move for a team in a win now mode.

Not sure the NFL has seen a MLB type rent a player trade like this before. (Unless team plans on extending him once trading for him)

If thats his attitude, let him rot in Minnesota. He's made a fortune during his time in the NFL. If he doesn't want a lombardi and wants more $$$ then so be it.

I meant, I don't think I've seen a trade like that happen in the NFL. I know it happens in MLB.

But I understand why anyone would be mad if we sent anything better than a 3rd, but Jared would make this defense a ton better.

While PFM sat out of practice today was he in the building with Elway, possibly fiddling with his contract in case we actually land Jared Allen?
