Jared Allen...Don't be surprised

People have threw out all types of what ifs. What Im saying is this is the 1st that I've heard Allen wants to sign. Everything before was he would fit and help us. Tonight I heard he wants to be a Bronco. Im waiting on someone to show me where they saw that prior to now

I could be wrong (wouldn't be the 1st time) if someone already posted it, but I'm yet to see some else state that the want was mutual. I've seen posts about US WANTING or NEEDING a lot of players since the superbowl. I'm not talking about people saying we could get him or we should get him. I was simply stating it was the 1st that I heard, he wanted to come to Denver. I don't recall seeing that

It was said a week ago that he had narrowed his search down to I think 4 teams with the Broncos being one of those so he obviously had interest. He also has said at some point this past week he wanted to play on a team with a top 5 quarterback so again Broncos fit that need of his.

I've said all of that has been said before. Saying I've narrowed it to teams with a top 5 QB is not the same as saying I want to be a Bronco. Verner recently narrowed it down to about 4 teams while mentioning us, but I don't believe anyone has reported or leaked that he wants to be a Bronco.

Again, if someone else already posted Allen wants to be a Bronco then I late and wrong, I just haven't seen it. I could be wrong, don't send me to the plank people.

I'm just pretty sure I had read it at least a few hours before you posted in the long FA thread. Not really wanting to go through all 147 pages to find it but I know it has been talked about before. Anyway not worth getting into an argument over. Would love to see him in Blue and Orange this next season.

Well to be honest there were strong rumor that Elway tried to trade for him last year and the Allen was more that eager to play for us only the compensation was not enough for the Viking to let him leave.

Not that I doubt you but do you have any old links? I don't remember hearing much of any Allen-Denver talk really until this year.

Not at all saying it isn't true. I just am stranger to the whole talk. I've never been high on his potential asking price.

Allen has said on Sunday he has narrowed it down and eliminated the Vikings, he also has said in recent radio interview "If you can play for one of the top 5 quarterbacks that makes life easier’’. Klis has written that Allen is on the Broncos "wish list". I don't think that players will necessarily reveal who they may have made possible deals with over the weekend... Allen seems to be hinting he has a deal and the Broncos are a strong possibility.

Per sources, Jared Allen does plan on visiting the Broncos but no deal expected to be done today.
