What more could Miller learn? Remember, he did have like 18 sacks in 2012.

We better not let Allen leave the building without signing.

Allen would have a GREAT year on this defense. He would get constant single teams as people try to block Von.

He would not get the sacks as I see a great DE rotation of Malik, Jared, Wolfe and Von to keep them all fresh. Then in nickel+dime put them all on the field.
Get ourself up, learn what we can and keep moving forward.

Looks like we're filling up our secondary for the long term in free agency and will take the best pass rusher available in the draft. Jeremiah Attaochu would provide a great speed rush to mix in with Smith and Allen.

I agree, imo tho the Broncos could still go for CB,LB,WR with the 1st

The question is do the Broncos draft Ealy,Tuitt,Crichton

Predicting that Martin,Attaochu will be available in the 2nd would require a just in case strategy.. I'm all for drafting Attaochu but if the Broncos stay in a traditional 4-3 base set .. Martin is a prototypical 4-3 RDE and would figure to be the target..I'm sold on both and would be extremely happy with either ..

If the Broncos could get either one of those players in the 2nd I think it makes for a good mock with the other positions listed above ..One position I think the Broncos freed themselves up today in the draft and we can cross out was the safety position Pryor,Bucannon,Dixon, Even tho I think its much less likely after today I believe the Broncos could bring in a developmental FS (5-7) I just wouldn't expect it

IF, and at this point a big IF the Broncos sign Ware then they need an OL in the first, they need help at OG and anything less than a 1st rounder will not help them next year.

I definitely agree that the OL is now a priority. But, it would have to be one helluva guard to spend a 1st Rd. pick on. I'd tend to bet that we'd be looking more in OT area, with the idea of moving someone (Franklin or Harris) to LG. And what would happen if Clady has a problem coming back from his lisfranc injury? I recently heard Chad Brown asked how long it took him to recover from his lisfranc injury, and he said he still hasn't recovered from it. And he retired 7 years ago. He said that he was never the same after that injury. And, Elway lists Tackle as one of the most important priorities of a successful team. Should be interesting.

They could very well bump Orlando to guard but you are probably right. This draft is deep in corners anyways would love to see us grab someone like Desir later (even just to add some speed on special teams).

Kuper was not a first rounder and IMO was our Best G ever as a Bronco . Now that does not mean we will not draft a Guard if the best one falls to our pick

I don't think it's that big of an if. According to Adam Sclereth, who often has the inside scoop, an AFC West team (not the Broncos) contacted Ware and the response they got was he's pretty much gone and you're not gonna like where he signs. To me that's the Broncos. But anyway, don't forget Clady comes back this year. That frees up Franklin, only question is who moves to LG.

Read on ESPN website that Allen may have been asking too much so Denver went to Ware.

No source cited in article so could be writter speculation

Yeah, he might have shot himself in the foot. He wanted to wait and see if a higher offer came. Ware is a better pass rusher to me, so looks like we're focused on him now.

Elway doesn't seem to mess around. Only FA that he really waited for was that of Manning. The rest he has pretty much said "here is our offer. If you want to take it then we would love to have you on the team but if you don't then we will just move on to the next guy." Seems like at least this year that has happened with Allen and DRC where they both delayed just that little bit which gave time for Ware to be cut and the Broncos decided that he looked a little more appealing.
