Got on here to start this exact thread. I love it as long as we protect ourselves against any more of his antics. If he's thinking straight I think he is an upgrade over Decker. With how good our D has the potential to be now paired with an offense that could be improved from last year's record setting season, oh my!

I can't say how impressed I am with John Elway. I'm sure he's not the one drawing up the contracts, but he's the one marketing the deals and pulling them off. As soon as the deals were made so many people said great pickup, but the Broncos are drastically overpaying. Now that the details have emerged, people are eating their words and saying the deals aren't so bad. We did take a huge gamble on paying Ware, but for a player of his caliber, I don't mind Elway rolling the dice. We all saw what a dominant pass rush can get you in the superbowl.

I'm just glad someone posted this, heard this yesterday and really wanted to show people who say we overpaid, that in actuality, we said three potential players on very team friendly deals for a year. they don't work out we walk away. Manning retires and we have to restart, we walk away. These were great deals!
